The boarding was like a cattle drive bordering on a stampede since Aegean Airlines didn’t bother to divide passengers by groups, so people rushed to be first in line. We waited standing with our carryons for over 45minutes. Nobody knew what was happening or when they will start boarding. Naturally, when we finally got on board people where blocking the aisle because Aegean didn’t bother to board from back to front as it is usually done. The flight attendants were sweet but their English was almost unintelligible. My brother works and I worked for major airlines and have never seen anything so disorganized and unprofessional."

I am sure they can show the text clearly warning me about the fees for bringing a piece of luggage per person, but I missed it. Therefore, they charged me $35 per person for their registered bag. That’s probably how they “beat” their competitors’ prices. If you include the fees in your calculation, this might still be a good option, but make sure that you read the fine print, or be prepared to pay as “extra” what many airlines offer as basic."

Aegean then booked me on a flight to Catania (Italy) for a different connection to Malta. Only that this Aegean flight was also delayed by an hour making me miss the second connection. Eventually I arrived in Malta 15 hours later than scheduled. Aegean customer service reps were extremely unhelpful and made this 10 times more difficult. I missed a whole vacation day, amassed roaming telephone charges and on top of that missed a reservation for Dinner in the Sky Malta."

Only good note was the young lady who checked our bags in Warsaw and helped get our seats together (after the airline messed the seat assignment up in the first place). Ugh. Boarding in Warsaw was chaotic - no announcements it just sort of started, I was in Zone 3 but there were only lines for Zones 1 and 2. The usual Central European pushing into the line. Flight was nice, smooth and good service. Leg room is limited but that is to be expected on any airline and flight. Would fly LOT again happily. On time, Captain made regular announcements. I arrived safely, as did my luggage. Can't wait for the direct service between Chicago and Budapest."

Cons: "The plane was terribly old and decrepit. None of the television screens worked, the airplane was dingy, brown, worn out looking and just overall gross. This flight was operated by a company called Privilege Style, and while the crew was fantastic everything else was terrible. The food was pathetic and nasty; they served breaded chicken that was so soggy it resembled a used dish cloth. It came with soggy oily vegetables and a cake that had condensation all over it. The only redeeming thing on this flight was the free Polish beer (it was warm). The flight we took going to Poland was on one of their new Dreamliner planes and it was amazing! We were so disappointed with this return flight as it was a stark contrast to the wonderful experience we had coming to Poland. I hope in the future they can discontinue use of these older planes, as it makes flying much more aggravating."

At some point there were 8 blue lights on throughout our cabin calling for assistance. I got attention by waving my hand and asking for help. I told 3 different times re my screen. They stated that they just rebooted the system and it will be working soon. My next seat neighbors were hour into their movies. No one did come back and check if I'm Ok if problem got resolved. Then they were even ignoring us and not offering drinks at this point. I felt like I got punished for asking for help. That's when I asked for crew person in charge. She was kind and offered to move to economy plus. We did move for majority of the flight. Enjoyed entertainment. However, when there was 1.5 h left of our trip, they woke us up and asked to move back to our seats since the meal plans are upgraded in this section. I was shocked, somewhat embarrassed to move back. I felt like a person that likes to cause trouble/ complainer being punished. Since we purchased full price ticket like everyone, we should be able to enjoy it like everyone. Airline should compensate clients, if there's issue with airplane. Flight to LT was good, however going home was extremely unnecessarily stressful. I'll try my best NOT to fly LOT in the future."

The airline did not send me the standard check in and flight information email, so when out of concer for my flight, I logged in a few hours before to find out that all the good seats were already taken. When I then proceeded to online check in, I was dumbfounded to find out that I do not have any luggage allowance. When I called their English language help line I was connected to a prerecorded message and then promptly connected to a Polish speaking person. Lucky for me I speak some Polish, but if you do not you would have a problem. The person then proceeded to inform me that the flight from Poland to London that I was taking is considered by the Polish airlines as a local flight and for that reason I'm not allotted a free checked in bag. I fly a lot all over the world and this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me. I will now permanently stay away from Lot. They shouldnot be considered a major airline, but a cheap flight air. This way when booking a flight you would know to not expect much from them."

Luckily the flight was delayed. In short, the attitude is strictly old fashion eastern block. On the dreamliner business classs the TV's did not work, but in any case they are way too far (about 6 feet) from the passanger for comfort. Very impractical."

Cons: "The meal service is a bit inconvenient. First round, they sell food. Second round, they give out complementary drinks (tea, coffee, water, no juice or soft drink). Third round, they give out a complimentary snack. It takes ages (more than half way through the flight) for free snack to come around! I would rather eat my bar before getting my drink. If you could reverse the order I think it would work better. That is, give out the free snack, then the free drink, and then lastly sell drinks and snacks to those still hungry."

The year is 2018 and there is no justification for an 11-hour flight with no entertainment. I believe that even the airlines of Nigeria or Sudan already have entertainment on their flights. I take long flights often but usually I sleep on the flight. This time I was awake and it was a horrible experience to fly for so long with absolutely no entertainment. So pathetic in comparison to Turkish Airlines for example which has great entertainment on all its flights. Or even to the selection on the El-Al Dreamliner, which I took on the way to HK and which was really nice. Honestly, I was really ashamed to be Israeli and to be El Al matmid member after this flight, are we so backward that we should be OK with not having the most basic comfort that people in the modern world expect on a long flight?"

Like I said you see them sneaking left and right every one with 2 or 3 boxes hardly trying to look at the seat number, and most of the time they come back with the boxes because they are wrong. I asked one of the crew to call her supervisor so I can complain about that I didn't get any meal, and why they serve food in dark, she said, "He is there go talk to him" other one said "I will call him" but she never did. It is just a mess seeing those crew running left and right without any meaningful way. What I know is that, I will not fly with them again. They are not civilized, it will take them aged to learn from other airlines. I start by saying they do not featue or demonstrate the safty instruction to the passengers. Meals served in dark the crew start sneaking like BATS in darl holding meals by hands, which you don't know how they serve it, is it kosher first or is first come first serve or is a buffee! I saw they never used a cart and roll it along the isle so you can understand what they doing. Like I said you see them sneaking left and right every one with 2 or 3 boxes hardly trying to look at seat number, and most of the time they come back with the boxes because they are wrong. I asked one of the crew to call her supervisor so I can complain about that I didn't get any meal, and why they serve food in dark, she said, "He is there go talk to him" other one said "I will call him" but she never did. It is just a mess seeing those crew running left and right without any meaningful way."

They inspected and reinspected every single item on my carry on for like an hour in a different room. Kinda scary.! Other airlines check the bags in front of the passengers. Horrible experience and I travel a lot and had never experienced anything like that. Almost didn't feel welcome to be traveling to Israel. The flight attendants have attitudes and they yelled at me because I didn't speak or understand hebrew. Food on the plane is horrible too."

Cons: "Upon arrival to the airport, I was pressurized by the "UP" check-in desk staff to send my carry-on to the plane's hold because "the flight is packed and we prefer that you do so". I didn't argue, but this just gives an overall bad impression and certainly does not shed positive light on the company's competence and professionalism. The flight itself was delayed because of insufficient carry-on space in the upper compartments - carry-ons had to be taken off to the hold - something that created a noticeable delay, add to that the dismay of many irked passengers and the expected complaining and hopeless pleas to the flight attendants. The plane took off 20+ minutes late. The fact that this is "low cost" is no justification at all for such a chaos."

Cons: "I don't know how El Al gets away with serving people their so-called nightly "meal". They have the audacity to tell passengers it's a "tapas" meal. Tapas has nothing to do with it. You can choose between tuna salad (tuna drowned in mayo with mostly peppers) or chicken with tahini (mostly peppers again, with two small cubes of chicken drowned in tahini). They give you this with a small salad, pita and industrial hummus which is probably the best thing about this meal. Having being burned by this meal last time - they ran out and I got a "glatt kosher" meal - I took the vegetarian option, which was roasted peppers, salad made from 80% lettuce, 20% peppers and no dressing and an inedible cookie. I am allergic to peppers. There is no entertainment to speak of, because El Al sees no reason to update its planes, and there is no personal entertainment system. You can download an app to your phone called "Dream Stream", and stream some options from El Al, but then you have no where to charge your phone, so what's the point? The seats are ridiculously close together, and if someone leans back you really can't eat. Finally, I have no idea why they do this - but El Al flights from Europe don't attach to the terminal via ramp. You get out of the plane on a staircase, in the middle of the night, in the pouring rain, and then have to take a bus to the terminal. It's not like all ramps are busy at 4AM..."

What can you say when you spend $1500 on a flight that should cost half as much to take off late, land late, have a cruddy run down plane with subhuman amount of leg room, shockingly abysmal screens (the old kind that don't let you choose your entertainment no less) less than mediocre food... I don't expect much flying economy, my expectations are in check. This flight (and my elal flight before it which was delayed 5 hours with no explanation) was just outrageously bad."

Cons: "I have been to Israel 6 times now, and knowing the strenuous security interviews El Al has, I arrived 3 hours before departure time. Even though I'm Jewish and trying to make Aliyah, this time they grilled me about all my precious travels to Muslim countries. I'm a world traveler, so this didn't bother me. It's a normal security measure they take. However they said that they'd like to do additional security checks with me when at the gate. I complied, thinking I have two more hours left. Well... I was taken by car away from the gate to a room full of what looked like migrant workers to something - I was practically strip searched And frisked uncomfortably. They took my carry on backpack, phone and food. Then the forced me to board the plane with only my wallet, passport and phone. Nothing else - I couldn't even take my medicine, headphones, laptop, camera or anything else. I freaked out, knowing I was about to fly 12 hours in the middle row with nothing else to entertain me... luckily a nice man let me charge my phone w his charger and gave me a sleeping pill. Then when we were about to land in Tel Aviv, I'm told both of my bags didn't make the flight... and they'd be delivered to me on the next flight (possibly together, possibly not). So I am here, the luggage is gone, and I hope I get it before my connection in 48 hours... also the entertainment on the plane SUCKED. Bad sound quality and an archaic entertainment system out of the 90's. they should upgrade for maximum comfort. And I was not awoken for the first meal, so I flew 9 hours on an empty stomach. So this was a horrible experience, I'm still traumatized from the security search and upset about the lost luggage, which has my computer, camera and essential medication"

I was unable to purchase seats with extra leg space - it was said all is already purchased. I think it was not correct, since it was impossible to purchase any seats in advance through internet and we were first in check in line since my wife was on wheel chair. Except this, two seats in this first row with extra space were finally free (one was occasionally used by crew). Upon arriving to destination wheal chair was nor ready. On her way to taxi may wife had to change seat 3 times: wheel chair, electrical car, again wheel chair - which was very difficult to her. Very bad experience."

Cons: "The process of getting your ticket and boarding can be very time consuming and stressful. Because it is an Israeli airline they are extremely cautious as to whom they let on to the plane. I was asked questions to see how Jewish I am(what songs did you sing at Passover when you were a child). I did taglit and on one of my flights I was asked questions for 1-2 hours and put into a smaller room to have my belongings searched again. At the end of the day I'm glad they do that because I know it's keeping us all safe."

You can buy overpriced food and beverage onboard. My purchase from the duty free was stolen and they didn't help me handle the problem. Awful experience."

They completely ignore me and let me stand there and at the end I see the door close in front of me, 2 meter from me and they told me I mised flight."
