i was required to pay $315.00 Mexican Pesos per day for mandatory insurance when in fact my credit card provides full accidental coverage. When i insisted my credit card provided full insurance covereage, they still refused to rent the car without this so called "mandatory" insurance. this is a total rip off. I will not rent from Alamo in Mexico again unless you reverse this ridiculous robbery.Reviewed 2024 Mar 31

Cons:Plane arrived late, there was no one at the Alamo counter in the airport despite still being within hours of operation. I was told they close at any time if they no longer have cars to rent, but then my reservation was not honored. Will never rent from Alamo again, poor customer service in puerto Vallarta.Reviewed 2021 May 15

Pros:Terrible staff. Location is NOT in airport, it’s miles away. Made us wait for 20 minutes for pick up. Once there they did not let me deny insurances although I am insured by Amex. The forced insurances were more expensive than the car rental itself. I tried talking to the manager but he was equal or worst than the employees. When we checked the car for damages I tried to do a video but the employee would not acknowledge the date, name or name of the company. Left my Amex cc open for a couple thousand dollars only to fin out one day later that “someone” tried to use my card for internet purchases upwards of $3,000 usd. TERRIBLE COMPANYCons:Honesty. Pros:I didn’t rent. Was quoted approx $350 and when I went to pick it up they wanted over $700 for insurance. I just wanted to rent a car. Not buy one!Cons:Less fine print and more upfront honesty.Reviewed 2021 Jan 03

Pros:Staff was ok When I booked on line the online price Was cheaper that’s why we booked it When I went to get car staff said I had to purchase 3rd party insurance but my email stated that I already Had the 3 rd party insurance after showing proof I still had to purchase 3 rd party insurance Bait and switch .I lost 1 day of rental and spent 1 hour showing staff my itinerary I ended up purchasing 3rd party insurance had no choiceCons:After booking car company needs to ensure Mexico side is aware of the 3rd party insurance Coverage so that bait and switch does not occur UnsatisfiedReviewed 2020 Mar 19
