To find Sydney Alamo car hire in the city, you'll have to book them through the offices at the airport. Alamo has car hire counters in all the terminals at the airport. The hire counter in the international terminal is located in the Arrival Hall on the main floor. The counters are well-signposted and can't be missed. If you're flying domestically, you'll be able to pick up your hire car in the Ground Level Car Park of the domestic terminal. Bear in mind, booking online is the best way to save time and money when arriving, and you can arrange pick-up times and locations if the airport doesn't work.
Sydney follows the same rules as the rest of the country when it comes to car hire. You must be at least 21 years old and have held your licence for a year or more. You'll need to bring your online confirmation details if you booked online, as well as a valid credit card and form of identification. If you don't have an Australian driving licence, you may need an international driving licence. For those that booked online, please note you must bring the same credit card that was used, and the owner of the card must be present.
Although it's not always easy to find parking in the CBD, there are various on-street and off-street parking options available. One of the most-used car parks operated by the city is Goulburn Street car park, which is open every day. You'll be given a ticket that you'll need to pay before leaving and the cost depends on how long you were there. Street parking is often difficult to find and more expensive than the city-run car parks, but the city has introduced a 15-minute free parking rule in the retail areas on the main streets if you need to park for a short time.
Mini (Kia Carnival or similar) is the most frequently booked rental car type from Alamo in Sydney.
