I showed up at 8 am to get the car I reserved and it was not available. My options were either to drive a truck (not optimal for a long road trip), pay $200 more for a different car, or wait for one to become available. The clerk also didn't want to give me a certain car to take one way. It was a pretty frustrating experience overall considering I made a reservation far in advance.Reviewed 2023 Jan 03

It said on the website debit card authorization, but due to airport policy I was unable to pick up without a credit card. Therefore I didn't receive my rental. The garage area also had poor reception when I had to work with Discover.Reviewed 2022 Oct 06

Despite my reservation which I made 3-4 days before, there was no premium car available with Budget and they provided me with a mini-van instead. Further, the mini-van provided to me was all damaged from every side. Further, the employee there refused to give me a rental on my temporary Ohio driver's license based on which every other rental gives the car. I also presented my India's drivers license and to harass me more, they asked me for the physical passport (she did not accept event the electronic copy of my passport) and I had to take Uber forth and back to my place just to get my passport. She did not even have the courtesy to reserve that damaged mini-van for me and told me that she cannot promise me the car on my return. If Budget doesn't give rentals on temporary licenses then they should specify that while making the bookings and should also specify what all documents they need at the rental pick-up rather than harassing customers like this. This is definitely the worst experience of rental I ever had.Reviewed 2022 Aug 15

The local Budget rental office called 20 mins before pickup to say there were zero available cars for rental and that I should try to book through an alternate location. I called the Budget sales/service number but had to wait 90 mins and call back as it was before opening hours. Once I connected with a representative, the only car available was a lower tier vehicle at more than $300 more expensive than what I agreed to pay at the time of my online booking, and it was not available until 4 hours after my scheduled pickup. Found qeeq (via kayak) not transparent as at the time of reservation it wasn’t clear insurance wasn’t included, so the apparently interesting rate basically ended up not interesting at all. Not good.
