Car seat was covered in urine. I called ahead to make sure it was in the car already because we were arriving at 11pm with our 2 year old. When we arrived it wasn’t in the car and they didn’t have any at the counter. Waited 45 minutes for them to find one. If you are renting a car at MSY beware. You must wait in line to then take a shuttle bus to the rental car place which is at least 20 minutes away. Upon arrival you get in line again to rent the car. We picked up our car which was filthy. The attendants at the gate checking out the cars said that it is not their job to clean them, just check them out. Upon returning the car, we entered a sea of about 500 parked returned cars and no employees in sight. A person then appeared, scanned the car and said to leave the keys in it. I asked for a receipt & they said it was emailed. The email never came & I tried tracking down an employee for 20 minutes. No one at the counter or anywhere for that matter. The two employees I did track down pawned me off on different employees that all were of no help & could not email me the receipt. My husband had to make the trek down to the rental counter to get a printed copy. Then you get to stand I. Line for the shuttle & ride 20+ minutes back to the airport. Unbelievable & I’ve never seen anything like it. Truly a mismanaged mess. Avoid at all costs, especially if you’re traveling with kids. There is no one there to help anyone.Reviewed 2023 Nov 26

Nothing was good. Said I rented electric. Told everyone that was there they all rented electric. A gas car was a 25 per day upgrade. I upgraded and my car was filthy. Windshield had 2pieces of tap holding onto the roof. Leaving the parking area the guy stopped and marked the tape and told me to take a pic of him and the x on the tape so they didn’t charge me. Cons:Waited 1.5 hours in line before deciding to cancel and book with Alamo. Was completely backed up on Memorial Day weekend with only 1 person working (I felt bad for her!) Truly a mess.Reviewed 2021 Jun 01

Cons:We had to wait 3 hours from the time we got to the place to the time we got on our car , there where about 35 to 40 customers waiting in line with 1 lady doing her best to take 2 sometimes 3 customers at one time, got to the car and was dirty inside and out, like they just half azz clean it just o get it out. Pros:The man running the desk was very slow. We stood in line for 2 hours. Each customer took about 20 minutes to process. Then they were out of cars, so we ended up with a 12 passenger van for the two of us. Not cool.Cons:Reservations shouldn't be confirmed if there are not enough cars. Once it's confirmed, customers should get what they reserved. There is no reason for the process to take so long. Over at the Alamo counter, people were zipping through.Reviewed 2021 Mar 30

Pros:The rental counter staff was friendly but the customer service and wishy information was poor.Cons:Better understanding of what can be given to people. Being 23 I understand I have to pay a fee to rent a car. Fully understanding and confirming I can get the rental I reserved only to be rejected at the counter with no other type of rental and way to my hotel room in an unknown due to my age was honestly the worst experience I could have. Budget needs to find a way for them to step in and get concrete facts of what can and cannot be offered at EACH rental counter. Being told that each rental counter has its own rules is good but please tell me that before I get there to pick the rental up so I understand how to get somewhere.Reviewed 2021 Mar 15
