Pros:

I was left stranded with no vehicle. I made the reservation for the airport pick up, but find out it was for the downtown location. Turns out the downtown location was closed on the day of the pick up. How can Enterprise rent a car when they're not even open. Ended up having to take a Lyft to my destination two hours away.

Booked through KAYAK And enterprise let us know that they had no cars available. So we had to scramble once we were at the airport to try and find one. I recommend going directly through a car rental company and not kayak

Pros:

Staff picking up car was OK. Returning car Staff, assistant manager was great and apologized.

Cons:

We rented and paid for a Chrysler 300 or silimlar like Camry and instead we got a small KIA Forte which is not similar. The KIA was too small for 4 adults adults 69 to 75 years old and was very hard getting in and out of this smaller car which made the trip less enjoyable. Felt like they should have upgraded us to a similar car which they said KIA was but said they would upgrade us for $120 more which was ridiculous. Happy with Kayak but unhappy with Sixt. Thanks and have a great and blessed day.

The vehicle was very clean and was ready on time.

Cons:

The location of this Sixt is terrible and took forever to find. The address listed is not where the location is, it’s actually around the corner. And the parking lot for the vehicles is a block away. For pick up of vehicle with a bunch of luggage straight from the airport, this is incredibly inconvenient and I’m very glad the lady offered to get the vehicle for me. And at least there is a guy in the lot that you can drop the keys off with so you don’t have to walk back to “check out”.

When I went to make the reservation on YOUR site, instead of showing me a February calendar, it pulled up a March Calendar. Since the days of the week fell on the same date, I mistakenly made a reservation for March. Then Sixt would not refund my money even though the reservation was a month away.

I tried to change the drop off location to a different Hertz that was only about 25 miles away, and was told that it would result in a $200-$500 upcharge to do so. Ridiculous.

Pick up was somewhat slow and cumbersome. The car we had reserved was not available. We were offered an upgrade for an additional cost however no discount was offered because the car we rented was a smaller car than the one we actually paid for. The interior of the car wreaked of POT. It smelled awful. I guess that’s a problem in Colorado. Also the exterior wasn’t cleaned. And no one did a walk around to inspect for existing damages. We had a low tire pressure issue the next day which ended up being a nail in a tire. Who knows if it was there before ? I get it. I run a business. It’s a challenge to get and stay fully staffed! But the POT smelled was the worst!! Shining moment. The young’s folks running the counter were doing their best and they had a good attitude! And I had a great vacation. Thank you!!

Car was not good, bad driving experience and much larger than I requested. Not happy about fuel economy and the windshield wipers needed to be replaced. The area between the seats had not been cleaned.

The reservation was accidentally made at downtown but was supposed to be at the airport. When I arrived the agent said he would be able to switch the reservation and "take care of everything". I had to pay a little more, which was not ideal but tolerable. Three days after I picked up the vehicle I got an email from Avis saying they were going to charge me $50 "no show" fee. I called Avis helpline and it took over 1.5 hrs on the phone to correct the problem. Why I had to wait on hold for 30 min for a supervisor to fix the situation is beyond my comprehension.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rates are much cheaper at the downtown location than the airport.

The vehicle was clean and had a lot of space.

Cons:

There was no washer fluid in the car, so at times there were a lot of dead bugs on the windshield that I couldn’t get off. This caused poor visibility. The gas tank on this particular car is also very small/it didn’t have good mileage

The line to pick up the car was very very long and the office was short staffed. The car that I initially reserved was not available and so I ended up in something much bigger. The woman who Was working and helping me was very very nice. Her name was Maya. She made it to smoothest it could possibly be based on the office being short staffed. Drop off was exceptionally easy.

The first car we were assigned was very difficult to find, and when we did, it was dirty and there was no key in it. When we asked about the key to someone walking by, he looked for a few seconds and then said "huh. I don't know." and then just walked away. The second car we got was cleaner and worked well.

No car was available, I was told that Hertz customers would get priority because they had priority over Thrifty. I could not get a car and had to turn around and come home. I had to call to get my money back for the rental but airfare, hotel and taxi to the tune of $500 is out of pocket and nobody wants to accept responsibility! This appears to be common occurance based on the input from Thrifty managers.
