I tried getting a ride from the airport and as I was walking up to the bus the driver closed the doors I was knocking on the door and they drove away. When I got to Avis they informed me that they couldn’t rent to me because my current license had a hole in it. Even though I showed proof that it was still a valid license on the DMV’s website. The cars at the location I picked up from were very dirty. I refused the first car that smelled like marijuana and had not been vacuumed and had trash in the car. The 2nd car I was given was also dirty and had not been vacuumed, and was the only other car available.Reviewed 2024 Aug 04

I rented from the DIA location even though I wasn’t traveling in from a flight. The person dropping me off couldn’t find an appropriate place to drop me off without driving over the strips. They ended up dropping me off on the street. Next, when I got in the vehicle, it was filthy. There was coffee spilled all over the dash and both front doors. Additionally there was empty water bottles and trash throughout the entire vehicle. I can detail exactly where the previous renter took the vehicle based on the remnants left behind. Lastly, the windshield was covered in big guts. If I plan to rent a vehicle, I don’t expect to have to detail it before I use it. Car available with a full tank of gas, for a vehicle with 13,000 miles I expected the backup camera to work. The source of the vehicle did not have the windshield washer fluid filled, hence on returning the vehicle I had extreme difficulty seeing signs and other vehicles on the road and had to finish my trip to drop off the car with the driver’s window rolled down to see.
