Driving in College Park was a wide open. It was a lot of distance between the traffic signals; so you could make up time if you were running tardy. The lanes were not cluttered with a lot of vehicles and the drive to and from the rental car was full of gas stations. You could see planes right above your head. The kids were excited about the closeness of the view of the airplanes.

We had a late arrival into ATL, and when we arrived at the car rental facility, the Alamo counter was closed. They had kiosks available but they ended up not working. There were signs at the counter saying to go to their nearest partner for assistance, but it was not clear. Finally, we ended up at the Enterprise counter and were helped from there. Once we got assistance, everything was fine - service at the counter was great, same with drop off but it was confusing upon arrival and took a lot longer than needed.

We initially had trouble getting the right sized vehicle (6 people with luggage for a week+), but the staff worked with us and got us the right vehicle. They didn't stop until we had what we needed. Price was better than any other company too, not a steal, but better.

I was charged a drop fee (rented at ATL, dropped at STL as per the contract). The rental was not supposed to include a drop fee, but my credit card shows an almost $600 charge for what was supposed to be a $200 rental. I expect a refund of the drop fee. Thank you. -c.

My experience was excellent. The staff at Hertz Atlanta was friendly and made getting a rental car easy. We made the reservation. Hertz kept us informed. We got to the airport and the agent waited on us. She told us how to get to where the rental car was. We arrived and the lady said, pick any vehicle in row 4! We picked it and drove away! The vehicle was clean, it fit 4 or 5 people and their luggage easily. The FORD Edge was easy to drive. We returned and the man guided us to a row, We jumped out, got our bags and made our way to the airport. Then, by the time I was in line waiting to go through TSA, I had my rental car receipt. Thank you Hertz Atlanta for an excellent experience during the Thanksgiving holidays.

I was sold additional, unnecessary items without my knowledge when renting. I was not asked, and they were included in the bill. Also when I got to my driving destination I saw that there was damage to the rear quarter, which was evidently there when I picked up the car. No one looked at the car with me at pickup. When I returned the car I mentioned the damage and was required to fill out a damage report. I refused to sign it since I did not cause the damage. I will never use Hertz in the future.

Very disturbed because in response to the question from the female agent helping me “do we have any more folders” [for the rental forms] I listened and watched hertz agent “Josh” state “No we will give it to them raw”. His statement was clearly sexual!!’ He creates a hostile work environment and its sexual harassment!!!

The staff was friendly at first until she stated the vehicle size I purchased weren't returned yet. Normally when a rental company is at fault you receive a updrade but no. I had the option to wait a hour to hour and half or more for full-size car to be returned. Then when I took the option to get smaller car my price difference wasn't given then. I was charged the peice for full size and she would send email to manager for them to try and give price credit. As of now I still haven't received email stating what that refund will be or when given.

Cons:

The car smelled first like cigarettes and later as the day grew it smelled like weed. That smell didn't leave the vehicle the entire time I rented it.

The staff was friendly and the drop off was very simple.

Cons:

It was very difficult to find the kiosk, and the wait was very long. The car was dirty inside and smelled VERY strongly of smoke. I bought air fresheners and rode with the windows down a lot. The tires were not balanced -- the passenger side were both over 36 and the driver side were at 28/27. I had to put air in the tires twice while I had it.

I still have not got my refund for my deposit of $300.00 4 days after I returned the vehicle, and budget airlines does not have anyone I can speak to on this. So at this point, after calling over 6 times and not being able to get anyone, I’m going to escalate the hell out of this until budget Car Rental refunds me my deposit of $300.00.

nothing to like. horrible service, gross car, huge van instead of compact, so much wrong with this experience. at least we got a carseat we requested for the toddler, that's the only thing that didn't go absolutely wrong.

Cons:

I waited for 6.5 hours after my scheduled pickup time, exhausted after an international flight with my family (including a small child), and was eventually given a huge family van instead of the efficiency I requested. It had a gross muffin on the floor, and caramel or something gooey on the center console area. Staff was outrageously rude, and I wasn't the only one waiting for hours. It was such a nightmare. I've never had such a horrible experience with a rental car.

Avis had hundreds of cars in the lot, but 2-3 check-in people, so we waited an hour and a half in line just to get a car that I had preregistered for. It put a serious damper on the entire experience. The car was fine and drop-off was a breeze. But over an hour wait in line was torture. Meanwhile, the other counter including Hertz (this was the Car Rental facility in Atlanta) had no lines.

I rented a Toyota Camry for about $80 per day for 3.5 days which seemed like a good price. When all was said and done after fees, taxes, surcharges, this and that my final bill was over $500. That is robbery!

The lines were extremely long and they only had two customer service reps working one of which was very rude. He was do busy trying to upsell me that hechave me the wrong rental agreement. When I returned the car I had to stand in line again due to this error. The rntire rental experience was mediocre.

the did NOT have my car - or ANY car for that matter my reservation for for 7:00 - the sign at the counter said that no cars are available until 8:30 I asked them for a car, ANY car - nothing was available they "over" book online w cheap rates and then hope to figure it out later i ended up renting from AVIS - they had cars left

flat daily rates were same but coverage rates were slightly better than hertz and alamo. negative review is purely for the pickup experience. drop off was flawless.

They charge an early dropoff fee. The women at the front desk booked me for 2 days without telling me and the said she couldn't do anything about it. I called them their customer service and they said I had to call priceline. I called priceline and they said I had to call back in 20 min since their system was down. I had to be at a meeting I didn't have time to wait the 20 min for their system to possibly be up and running to then deal with the cancellation. I will not be using priceline or europcar ever again. It's now a new company policy. We travel 2 days a week typically.

The car was great, only complaint I have is with check in. The woman was not very helpful. I didn’t not get her name but she talked so fast that I could not even begin to understand or hear her. Seemed annoyed when I asked questions, just rushing through the whole thing. I am not one to leave bad reviews but it was pretty rude. I felt like I was a bother to her, it was a chaotic and confusing encounter. Other than that the car was very clean and nice. Easy and fast drop off.

Upon arrival was told they were out of the size car I had reserved. I was given the option of waiting an hour or more with the hope that a car in that class might be returned or pay almost twice as much to get an the only available vehicle without a wait. It felt like a classic bait and switch.
