At the moment of the reservation the information I received was that I had to show my drivers license and the credit card used for the reservation. When I arrived at the store (6 months pregnant, with a 1,5 year old daughter after a 16h long journey, with large luggage) the employee did not want to conclude the rental process due to the lack of an international drivers license. Me and my husband researched on all Dollar policies available online and none of them stated this as mandatory. The attendant was totally inflexible and refused to conclude the reservation. Luckyly I was able to find a website that issued the international drivers license instantly, but it was a very stressful experience. For improvements I recommend either to make a clearer list of documents needed for rental, or clarify with the employees what is mandatory and what is not.Reviewed 2026 Jul 21

On the paperwork, the rental agreement, it clearly stated to bring the Visa Debit Card used to secure the rental, and pay in advance for the extra Insurance, when picking up the Rental. The Rep at Dollar REFUSED, telling me they DO NOT honour such an agreement and I must use a Credit Card. When my Friend offered His Credit Card, they again REFUSED. When I booked I ordered an all wheel drive, the rental collection desk tried to change to a rear wheel drive, but the big issue was they changed my drop off time from 6pm to 5pm even though I never asked them to, I dropped the car off at 5:10pm, only to be billed an extra $50.Reviewed 2026 Jan 12

The ease of the transaction was great, however the availability of the car I wanted was not there, I settled gor an SUV for the first 2 weeks, thought I would get a car for the 2nd 2 weeks, but the carbi wanted wax not avaliable again.Reviewed 2024 Sept 24

When I arrived to the rental desk, there simply was no car for me to rent. I lost the Uber money (from Toronto to Thornill) and had to get another Uber (from Thornill to the Airport) to rent a car (in another company, naturally).Reviewed 2024 Sept 02
