Cons:Not easy to find where Payless is picking up customer to bring us to the car. Car outside not clean at all (due to rain...), inside not good too. Not full tanked but we gave back with the same level without any problem. We had to wait 45 min that Payless employee (he was allown in the office) drived us back direction airport. Closed before I picked up the carPros:I reserved a pick up time between 11-12pm through kayak. Payless was not located at the airport, yet the address shows up as the airport. They will drop off cars at the airport, but you have to call them first to let them know you arrive. This created 2 challenges for me: 1 - no reception as I don't have a Canadian phone service provider & 2 - Payless was closed at 10 so when I was finally able to call, no one picked up anyways. Unfortunately, even though I clearly stated my needs on the reservation, Payless could not provide what I needed, I was in a foreign country & needed to get to my hotel asap as it was getting late, sooo I rented a car from a competitor (on Memorial Day weekend) and paid about 4 times more. Rent elsewhere when landing in TorontoPros:InexpensiveCons:No signs at the airport. No instructions on how to get to the rental counter. Had to call them to find out. Pros:Nice car, cheap priceCons:They’re far away from the airport, wasted an hour till I got to their location, rarely answer their phone, and when the lady answered the phone, she gave me the worst directions ever on where to wait for their shuttle! Will not do business with them anymore!Reviewed 2018 Jan 20

Pros:The price was right for the weekend. Shuttle was quick for my return trip.Cons:Shuttle took a while at pick up. They seemed very disorganized at pick up and it took a long time for me to get my car and leave.Reviewed 2017 Oct 10

Wouldn't let us rentPros:The cars were clean, the location was nice and well maintained, and although we didn't get a chance to get in the car, it appeared beautifully maintained and cleanCons:Can't blame Payless themselves for this, but apparently you unfortunately need a credit card to rent any car here. I don't like credit and try to avoid that. It was very annoying having gone all the way to that hotel only to find we couldn't even rent, but as I said, this can't be blamed on the staff themselves as that's just policy.Reviewed 2017 Apr 29
