L'Agence de retrait du véhicule a été changée sans nous avertir : Nous avions réservé un véhicule à l'Agence de l'aéroport de Montréal mais sur la confirmation, c'est l'Agence Montréal Centre ville qui est apparue. Nous avons dû nous organiser par nos propres moyens pour nous rendre à cette agence. Et quand nous sommes arrivés, aucun véhicule ne nous attendait !!! Nous vous demandons un dédommagement. We pre-pay a rental reservation and pick up time was 4 pm. Didn’t receive any advisory that the pick up location is at 4pm. Flight was delayed and since it’s a direct flight, unable to call to advice. Spoke to a rep at hertz which charges 5 % of the amount to inquire and was told that since it’s pre-pay the location should hold the car for 24 hours of pick up time. When I called the location at 8:30 am (they open at 8) they said there’s no more cars available. They said we will get a full refund bet 4-10 business days. Will still have to wait and see how will that go. Very poor and unreliable! They coud’ve at least given us a call when they opened to confirm since it’s already pre-paid! Didn’t hesitate of ripping us off with the payment we already made and just gave our reserved car to someone else! NOT RESERVING AT HERTZ AGAIN!!! They better give us our full refund!
I would not rent from Routes again based on my experience. Picking up our vehicle in Montreal was an absolute nightmare. It took over two hours just to get our rental car, and the office was packed with customers who had also been waiting for hours. The process was extremely slow and disorganized, making for a very frustrating start to our trip. The rental was also overpriced for a one-day rental, especially considering the excessive wait time and lack of efficiency. To be fair, the vehicle itself was clean, well-maintained, and in excellent condition. The drop-off process was also quick, easy, and hassle-free, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, those positives don’t make up for the incredibly poor pickup experience. Spending over two hours waiting for a rental car is simply unacceptable. If Routes can improve their staffing and check-in process, it would make a huge difference. Until then, I’d recommend looking at other rental companies if your time is valuable.

It is the customer relation that is awful at Routes. Never accomodating. Asking for exhorbit sums for protection. Very suspicious company. Refused to give me the car I paid for in total because they judged my Driving permit invalid because it has no picture - which is the case for a lot of people working for the government of Qc in the North. If the Gvt issued it, in itself it valid! I tried to show them my medical card with my picture and offer a proof on insurance, but nothing did it. I had to go to the Montreal Airport to rent a car for more than double the price because of this. I spoke to one of my colleagues at work who told me they had a similar incident with them.

The worst 66 dollar to rent a car I didn't have They asked for 87 dollars insurance and 1500 dollar deposite refused from my bank The address says Yul but it is out of airport I took an Uber as it was 39mn walking then another Uber to rent from trusted professionals 30 mn Waiting my turn , rude personnel I won't never ever again rent with kayak I trusted you I don't know this officer
