Cons: I used my credit card’s insurance guarantee, but nowhere in the reservation did it say that to do do ALSO required a letter from my credit card company stating (1) that they cover the Republic of Ireland, (2) they will cover the lace loss if totaled, and (3) the last 4 numbers of my cc account. So at the Europcar desk I had to make that phone call, wade through a few phone trees, then talk to a couple of humans. I did get the letter (great service by my cc bank!) but I was lucky - that approval process may take up to 24 hours. The Europcar desk agent said this happens “quite a bit” with the brokers because you don’t provide the information about what each rental car company requires to use the cc insurance waiver benefits. I suggest adding a link to your process that will take your to the specific rental car company page for their CDW. I did use the link provided for my rental but it did not say I would have to get the letter etc.
Pros: The lines were really long with people complaining and not moving. The Payless personnel were in the same space as Budget and Avis and it was hard to tell the difference in who was working what. Eventually all personnel worked on the same long Payless line. Then the price of our car quadrupled.
Pros: Did not disclose mandatory insurance that had to be purchased making the final rate $775 Euro. Much higher that what was quoted.
Pros: The staff was great. Pick up and drop off were easy.
Cons: Got a charge for refusing their insurance, I was not happy about that.
Cons: The only thing that would be better is to have a map available in the car that shows more detail. The one we received wasn’t useful. Our cell phones drop service overseas so getting to our hotel and a phone sales location was difficult. Really not their responsibility, but nice nevertheless.
Cons: Was told my total at booking was $120. After all the required ad ons and fees at pick up I paid over $500. Absolutely absurd and when I need a car for a week there’s nothing that can be done about it. Will never book with budget or Payless or this site again.
Pros: Great price.
Cons: Poor customer service during check in. €780 insurance for two weeks... outrageous.
Car not full of gas, long lines, poor service
Cons: Car had not been checked since last driver, was down a quarter tank of fuel, long lines while workers stood around. Won't use them again.
Cons: Price changed at the desk from quote in the app. Took long time to get care rented and leave the rental office.
Pros: Did not like the fact that a $5k authorization was required if liability is waived but agent was very clear in explaining it and finding a reasonable price for full coverage.
Pros: Simple and easy to use portal. All the details for every car type provided is very useful
Cons: The rates of cars during holiday season is very high. Fro enga if I try to book for water now, I still see very high rates.
Pros: Quick drop off.
Cons: No on-site gas station (or nearby gas stations) to fill up the rental car before drop-off.
