International drivers license The car was great and the people attending us were very nice. It took way too long.

Cons:

Upon getting the car we were notified that we needed an international drivers license. In the FinePrint it does say you need an international drivers license but we feel that I need for an international drivers license needs to be highlighted from the get go. It should not be included in the fine print. I have been living in traveling abroad for the last 20 years and I have never experienced this. If this is a new policy it really needs to be stressed. In Kayak I requested and was quoted two drivers and SUV (Toyota Yaris or equivalent). When I arrived at Enterprise I was offered a VW Polo, told Yaris isn't SUV but an 'economy' car and told I only had 1 driver for the price.

The drop off at the airport in Granada was totally painless. The staff were very nice and efficient.

Cons:

We asked the staff in Sevilla to let us drop the car off at the train station Budget office in Granada, but they had it fixed so we had to drop it off at the Granada airport, which meant a long taxi ride into Granada.

Somehow my airport pick-up was switched to train station -which is not easy to get to. Fortunately the airport desk was able to switch things around for which I am eternally grateful. Staff was very kind and helpful. The car was just what I needed and in great shape. The overall pick up was very slow for everyone not just me with the location switch. Roughly half an hr per person. I've never seen it take so long before

El carro estuvo muy bien, pero me pareció mal que en la página sólo decía un precio de 35€ por un día pero al momento de retirar el carro nos dijeron que tomamos un seguro de 80€ (casi el triple de lo que costó el carro) o si no queríamos eso no tenían que bloquear la tarjeta por 1 MES 1500 € (tarjeta de débito). El problema no estaba en pagar, sino que nunca dijeron eso al momento de contratar el coche y cuando fuimos a retirarlo para viajar, nos pusieron salieron con estas condiciones que se sentían muy abusivas ya que no teníamos mas opciones.

Cons:

The process of “blocking” money on my credit card was completely wrong and they charged me then gave me a refund after the return. The problem here is that the result of charging rather than blocking meant the refunded difference once in my account left €40 less! Terrible customer service due to ACE Rentals seemingly being owned by two companies - Goldcar and Rhodium. After I complained to the company I have had no response other than “money has been refunded”. €40 was over half our original rental cost.

They did not have a car that matched our reservation (6-passenger automatic) - admittedly, not the easiest request, but we reserved here because it was the only company that offered it, so we chose it despite the fact that it was a non-airport location. When we didn't accept their alternatives, they did actually track down a car that matched our needs - took close to 2 hours (the drop-off took almost an hour as well). I very much appreciate their work to get us the car we needed, but they didn't seem to have any record of our request when we came in and were initially not interested in making it work. Also (maybe because it's a city dealership not a tourist/airport rental) be prepared to conduct all business in Spanish - if you need someplace with English support, stay with an airport-based company
