Our flight was delayed and the rental counter closed and “sold out”. No assistance from the Hertz location that we rented from whatsoever. Another Hertz location, also in Las Vegas, flippantly offered to “help” us for an additional $973.62 above the price we had already paid. We took our business to another agency. I would love to discuss our experience with anyone at Customer Relations at either Kayak or Hertz.
The only thing that made the experience not expectational was the pick up of the car. We waited more than an hour to be able to pick up the car - which was very long! Other than that, everything went well and drop off was exceptionally quick - we dropped the car and went directly to the airport.
I thought the rental pickup was at the airport. Turns out it was at a hotel. That was not clear when I made the reservation, otherwise I would not have made it! When I got to the hotel, the Hertz counter was closed! Turns out my reservation time was the same time they closed! Obviously a problem with your system! I will NEVER rent through KAYAK again, nor will I recommended KAYAK to anyone.
The price was quoted lower but when i picked up the car it was more, i had to pay the difference
Location was difficult to find but the process to renting went very smoothly. The rental was not cleaned. It had crumbs all around/inside the car, an empty water bottle, and old paperwork from the prior renter. The worst thing was the drop off process. The staff told us to drop the car off and park it in an empty hertz parking spot sounds easy enough. However when we returned for drop off, the small Hertz lot was full with no space for us to park. We called the phone number for help which directed us to the cosmo front desk and they told us to park anywhere in the parking level garage. We were not given clear instructions for drop off! The next day I tried to call Hertz 3 times prior to my flight home just to let them know where the car was located but no one ever answered or got back to me. I would not like to get overcharged for “not parking” in a full lot.
Customer service was awful. I had to call to make a change and the corporate office tried to charge me $1000. When I said no they said woops we just did. No one locally ever picks up the phone
