I asked hostess if there were two seats up front was told “absolutely not” during flight i went and sat at back on crews seat just to make it easier was told to get off not permitted. Then i gave up. Cons: "other than the pilot doing his job, the experience of flying on this flight (operated by Arkia) wasn't up to any basic standards. this began when the boarding started - we were escorted to our busses which was to take us to the plane itself. however there was no bus. apparently the bus was right around the corner but its perfectly aligned stop near the doors was hindered by a truck that took about a third of the spot. so for some reason instead of simply allowing passengers to walk 3 meters, we had to stand in a small inclosed area for about 15 min with no seats for the older people. once we actually boarded it was chaos. people stuffed their luggage in the overheads in such a way that they didn't close, couldn't find their seats and we're stuck in the isle waiting for others to find a place for their luggage. this happens, sure, but there was no staff in sight to assist and instead they were on the microphone telling people to clear the isle and sit down, like we're on a bus... why not have people board the plane in groups and areas? the bus did two rounds of bringing people to the plane anyway, why not do this smartly and devide passengers into boarding groups, for our and the staffs ease? Finally everyone were in their seats and the plane took off. this is a very short flight of 45 min. and I understand it's a low cost company but during almost half of the flight you just hear the staff on the speakers reading out commercials, offering to buy cigarettes and whatever, telling how they have the best prices(!). finally we land, and instead of requesting everybody remain in their seats until the doors open, like the staff does on every single flight I've ever been on in my life, the guy on the mic says some stupid joke. TLDR : the whole flight felt like it was operated and staffed by teenagers, and not the responsible and bright kind. I am very happy we arrived safe because the staff made me doubt the pilots abilities as well. nothing to say about the passengers, they're israeli so anyone who has flown with them know what it feels like. just put your headphones in, it'll be over soon."

Nasty , took 1 bite and it was nasty , The airplain was old and was playing 1 movie in Hebrew, what the hell !!!"

Cons: "El Al has a draconian carry on limit of 8 KG, which they enforce strictly. The also do not allow a personal item in addition to the carry on. This is extremely inadequate and will prevent me from flying El Al in the future."

Cons: "So i was forced to cancel the second leg as well. They offered me to modify the booking for a 100$ fee + fare difference which was 460$. This was for a ticket which I already had which cost me 390$ for a return trip. I opted to cancel my reservation. The cancellation fee was 170$ and I was refunded 220$. I bought a different return flight, on the same day, from easyjet for 90$. a very bad experience."

Cons: "Check in was inefficient. I was assigned a seat and I was flying with my mom and we asked to be placed together and they said we'd have to pay to sit together. Boarding started on time but then on the plane was a disaster. It took an inordinate amount of time to board and get everyone seated. I was sitting the back of the plane and there wasn't enough overhead cabin space for bags since they back areas were filled with other equipment. The seats were horribly uncomfortable - between by legs getting smashed because of non existent leg room and with the chair itself just being awful. The room was so inadequate that the person sitting next to me was basically in my space unintentionally. There was no entertainment for a 4 hour flight which was awful. It was overall one of the worst flying experiences."

Cons: "ElAl canceled my return flight from Tel Aviv with little advance warning and no reason given, I suspect because of underbooking. They successfully rerouted through Boston, but then messed up re-ticketing in Logan. Food edible but unappetizing. Ancient 767 with no seat-based, on-demand movies (they played on ceiling-mounted screens). No Wifi. Customer service on phone had huge hold times. Personnel were not available between flights. Will not fly again."

Pros: "The El Al crew are amazing, patient, and probably the best thing about the airline. The food was also very good for airplane food. The 747's need to be put out to pasture. Overall a very good experience for a long-haul flight."
Cons: "The boarding process had no process in Israel - I was in business class but had to wait in a huge line since everyone just boards when they want - even though there are zones printed on the ticket the airport personnel lets everyone board the plane at the same time and disregards the boarding procedure. No order whatsoever."

Firstly i took a backrow seat hopeing for some more space unfortunately the way the plain was set up there was an obstical behind my chair and i could recline there was no leg room and the seat was dirty i fell asleep and missed all the meals and the screen on my chair was broken so no entertainment. On the flight back i made sure to get a exit seat but i was aganist the window and the bottem of the plane door gave me less room than a normal seat the tray is stowed one the side of the seat and it was in a filthy compartments sorry guys i dont ever want to fly with you guys again 9 hours of this was just to much."

Total flight delay was 1.5 hours (missed connection) 4. Some passenger announcements (including connection information) were made only in Hebrew (had to ask for English translation) 5. The only El Al lounge in TLV closes at night (even though no "business hours" posted) and you can't get there if you come early or have long connection in TLV 6. El Al ticketing desk in AMS refused to help with changing ticket caused by _delay of their flight_ and sent me to the connecting airline (I had single connecting ticket)"

Called over supervisor to notify that 6 of thirteen video channels had sound only, no picture. She said she would see what she could do. She left and never came back. There were 2 aggressive passengers on the flight that I saw and they got what they asked for. Is that what this airline would like to pride themselves in improving. Other issues too, but do not want to state a list of grievences. " Tired and disappointed.""

Cons: "The light was out at my seat, & I couldn't read, & the staff said they couldn't fix it. There was no menu for the tv, & the majority of the movies were in French with Hebrew subtitles, unwatchable for this English-only person. This was a 15 hour flight. They fed us a tiny tasteless breakfast as soon as we got on & brought nothing around for seven hours! Just before they served dinner, I walked back to ask when they were serving & found they had tuna sandwiches in the galley, However, THEY NEVER TOLD ANYONE ABOUT IT!!! I fly to Israel twice a year, & this was my first unpleasant trip with El-Al. I think I deserve compensation. Thank you. Harriet"

Cons: "The worst part of this whole ordeal is that we paid for an El Al flight but were serviced by a completely different airline; very disappointing and deceptive. The airline "Prestige operated our flight from Toronto to Tel Aviv. The air plane and the crew were NOT el Al. The airline Prestige had an older aircraft with no TVs, entertainment for kids, the crew was not El Al for an overseas transatlantic flight VERY poor...on the return flight from Tel Aviv the same airline and aircraft operated by Prestige airlines was utilized and this time the ordeal turned into a nightmare. During take off from Tel Aviv as the plane was gaining speed to go into the air one of the tires blew and we almost had a catastrophe on the runway. We were on the runway for 2 hours and then deboarded; waited in TLV airport for 8 hours before taking flight on an actual El Al plane. The point that needs to be made is to verify that you are taking an actual EL Al plane NOT a partner airline....the airplanes on an actual El AL fight are accommodating and offer good service, food and entertainment (which is much needed on a transatlantic flight; especially if traveling with children)."

Instead, El-Al still (and hopefully not for long) uses a system that controls what movies play, and when. That means, if you missed the beginning of a film, you have to figure out when it starts again, and hope to be awake to watch it. We've moved past that even in shorter European flights by now. Israel 21C - time to upgrade!! Love you"

Cons: "The crew is trying to do their best with a very old, poor maintained, very crowded airplanes. I think cows have more room in a cattle truck than we had. Seat cushions were so old they lost their flexibility TV panel didn't work so no matter how much the crew tried, they couldn't fix it.... So as far as ELAL say: fly 5 hours without entertainment in a very old plain with no room to the legs But at list the food is kosher - ha? Not that I care...."

Cons: "El Al is the main airline at TLV airport, yet the line for check-in for them is the worst-organized line i have ever witnessed. They should do what every other airline is doing to improve queues, instead of abandoning passengers to a chaotic process."

Pros: "flight was two hours delayed, then waited at taxiing for another hour and a half. TV screen did not work, earphone plug did not work. it was an unpleasant experience."

Pros: "Once we were on the plane, the ride was very smooth and in-flight staff were very nice."
Cons: "First of all, I had a terrible time checking in with the App - it did not work and so I had to check in at the airport. However, if you don't check in with the check-in kiosks at the airport, you get charged extra. I have an older passport that does not have the capability of scanning at a check-in kiosk. The staff was unapologetic and despite the app and kiosk problems, made me pay to check in. Additionally, I tried to add bags on the app the day before the flight. Because the App wasn't working, it did not record one of the bags I wanted to check and we were forced to pay $70 (twice the online price) for that extra bag despite the fact that it was Up's fault for having a malfunctioning app. I understand this is a budget airline, but I have never had problems like this with EasyJet or Ryanair staff."

Cons: "First, El Al contracted the flight out to Israair so all the boarding passes had to be reprinted. It appears that there was a change of plans also. We boarded the plane 30 minutes after the scheduled departure. Then, we sat on the tarmac for 90 minutes waiting for "permission from Kiev to take off". Never heard of that before! When drinks and snacks were served, the cart never stopped in my row, it just kept going! Lastly, the crew was unable to control the passengers (religious Israeli's going to a religious site in Ukraine). Constant standing in the aisle even when the seatbelt sign was on. Upon touchdown, half of the passengers left their seats and took their luggage from the overhead bins and made a rush for the front door. With the plane sitll rolling on the main runway! A serious safety violation. This really was a flight from hell."

And then the toilets were off limits becasue men were standing and praying, and the area was "off limits." It's been ten years since I last flew El Al - and the sort (under four hours) flight reminede me why I've been avoiding it. Will continue to do so"

Pros: "The boarding was atterminal but e uggage was sent from terminal 1. The logistics sucks! It took 2 hours to board! The plane was too crowd with very narrow spacing for legs. I was hit by a trolley few times because i had no spase for my lag and put it in the pass way."

You must have not been here! Maybe my friend came here too!" Me thinking: Where did I go? to the park that is in first class? I hope the airline reads this and addresses it!"

They purposely split family members in the hope that people will pay extra to sit together. We did it on the first leg, but then managed to switch seats without extra cost in the second leg. It just required several people switching around."

Cons: "-we paid extra for priority boarding and did go through the line first to board the shuttle to the plane but then they had everyone else from the overbooked plane crowded like sardines into the same shuttle. It was a waste of money. -traveling to Rome on Ryanair we took samsonite carry on luggage onto the plane with no problems. Leaving Rome we were told to recheck our luggage size. The wheels stick out a little and they made us pay 100 Euros to check our bags. Once on the plane we saw many passengers with luggage and bags much larger than our own and did not have to pay to have them checked. We were the only Americans on the plane. -The seats do not recline and are at a 90 degree angle which is very uncomfortable for a 3 hour flight. -the crew traveling to Rome was very rude. -the seats were dirty with food and crumbs before I sat down and there was trash and food on the floor. It is as if the plane is not cleaned routinely."

We had very poor internetc and could not check in on line. The ticket agent for Ryan Air was rude, and uncooperative. The flight charged for everything including water. The seats could not recline. This was the worst flight wee have ever experienced. If you are going to continue booking flights on the horrible airline you need to warn them they need to check in early or pay a large fee. We will be contacting you for a refund of this fee."

Cons: "Getting to and from the airports is more expensive than the flight itself. Every ten minutes on the flight, the flight attendants come on the speaker trying to sell something else. Not luxurious flying experience but you get what you pay for."

Cons: "We had to pay the normal check in fee (50 euros per person), this one was on me, since I didn't pay enough attention, I don't get why it has to be 50 per person though. We also got to pay 100 euros for our luggage (two carry on bags that had no issue in other airlines). To our surprise, the bags didn't fit in the metal cage they use to size baggage. We ended up paying since we had to fly but then when we were boarding we saw other passengers with the same bag size as ours, so this was really upsetting."

Cons: "It was not clearly stated anywhere that a boarding pass must be printed beforehand, as most companies allow use of mobile passes or downloading of the boarding pass onto the phone. Their website did not allow downloading of the boarding pass on the phone and I was charged a 15 Euro fee for "checking in" at the airport when I had already checked in online. I will not be flying with this airline again, the other airlines are cheaper when considering all the ridiculous fees and poor customer service."

Cons: "My flight was cancelled due to strikes in Greece. I went to the airport to talk with a rep from RyanAir in person since they charge you to speak to in the phone and they were no help at all. They did not offer any type of rebooking. My initial flight was the following day at 6:15am. The strikes were called off and my flight was reinstated but I was sent an email after I went to sleep so I missed the original flight. I went back to the airport and was refused help to rebook on a new flight because it was my fault that I missed the reinstated flight when I was contacted by email at 10:30pm. I had to book with another airline at a much costlier expense, but they were much more pleasant and accommodating and even moved me to an earlier flight at no charge. i understand the strikes are out of their control but their customer service was terrible."

Pros: "When you purchase a ticket for over 150 euros, the least the company could do is provide a boarding pass instead of charging their customer 15 euros or inconveniencing them having to find a way to print it."

Cons: "Not used to flying this airline. Their business practice calls for 45 euros/passenger check in fee if not done online prior. With 4 of us traveling, that just added 180 euros. Then, one of our carry-ons was deemed too big, had to be checked-in for another 50 Euros. The flight was not full and the carry-on could have easily fit in the cabin where there was plenty of space left. Overall the staff felt sorry, knew it was an expensive proposition to just have a piece of paper (i.e. boarding pass), and late checked in suitcase. We will certainly avoid Ryannair all we can when traveling in Europe next time around."

Cons: "Traveling in a group of 7. Only 2 of us received email/text notifications that flight was cancelled (less than 24hrs. Notice). When we called to get answers we were led to an automated recording that did not lead us to a human, but to an online chat. The online chat did not work. We found out through a Google search that Marseilles was on strike. We then cancelled our flights, asked for refund, and switched to Alitalia."

Cons: "Boarding through Luton airport was a disaster - endless traffic on the way in and poorly managed drop-off area. The security area was over-run with passengers, randomly cutting lines and overwhelming the minimal staff - it genuinely felt unsafe. The message boards directing passengers to the gate were hard to read and prompted a full-out sprint to the plane... only to find boarding was still continuing at a reasonable pace. The added stress of flying Ryanair through Luton will make me reconsider future travel plans."

Cons: "I came four hours before my flight, about 4 a.m.. two and a half was spent sending me back and forth because they couldn't agree on what was an appropriate price to charge me for extra baggage. The girl at the baggage counter called Pegasus and they told her the amount. When I got back to the baggage counter, the man there started checking my bags then the supervisor started yelling at me and him, because of a "miscommunication" between the other girl and Pegasus. I heard the other girl explain, and it was no communication. The supervisor as she called herself was extremely rude and short tempered with EVERYONE. Plus, they wanted to charge me 215 dollars for one extra bag. Really? I finally took a few things out and got away with under 90 dollars from the 20 dollars they were going to charge me before. I would have been happy to book with another airline that would have easily come under that price, and I barely got to my gate on time. I booked with Turkish air prior and it was 200 dollars round trip and I was very happy. My bags and food were free. When I got to Turkey to change flights, we had to get off the plane we were on and get on another, and my flight was over two hours delayed. We had to stay at the gate, and so I couldn't buy food at the airport. I would have gotten to Frankfurt at two so the small breakfast I had would have been ok, and now I had to buy food on the plane because I had planned also to meet a friend for dinner outside of Frankfurt before another flight (actually the entire reason I was flying with Pegasus in the first place) and now I wouldn't make it. Can you imagine spending all that money plus a hotel and the entire reason you went is just gone and you have to deal with all of this? So I go to buy food on the plane and I'm told my credit card doesn't work. The funny thing is, previously I checked my bags with the same credit card, and afterwards I rented a car and hotel with the same card. I knew my credit card worked. I made her try it again and nothing. So I just had to live on the small amount of yogurt I had had that morning. There was no apologies or anything for everything we went through except when my credit card wouldn't work the flight attendant gave me some coffee for free. I'm not a complainer and actually travel quite a bit (I've been traveling for 3.5 months straight all over europe and the middle east). This has been the only negative experience I've had. I truly believe that Pegasus does not care about keeping customers. I really feel like I've been treated like dirt, and that I was tricked into booking with them. I've always booked with Kayak and will continue to, but I would reconsider working with Pegasus if I were you. The other discounters like Ryanair are just fine. But this experience made me extremely angry and I will never book with Pegasus again."
