LH lost my luggage and I was told it was going to be delivered to me on the same flight the following day. It took four days.
Flight was canceled and I was given a flight to Newark which presented a 14 hour layover and an extra night away from home. Totally unhappy.
Crew put us on earlier flight that helped a lot
Didn't like any of it. Seating was cramped, The plane was hot even with air on. The in-flight movie system didn't work nor did FlyNet.
Usually United/Lufthansa is a wonderful airline for my family and I to use. But this trip the crew were horrible and indifferent. Had a couple sitting beside me that where drunk even before they boarded. The crew continued to serve them alcohol knowing this. The lady ended up spilling a whole beer all over me staining my shirt, slacks and socks, soaking me, the seat and the floor. The flight crew couldn’t have cared less. They didn’t even bother to come look or clean up the area. I had to go myself and ask for something to clean up te mess with. Upon asking I was treated like I was bothering them and told to just go to the bathroom and grab a handful of napkins. Absolutely unacceptable. They would even let me change seats to have a dry seat. I had even payed for an upgrade to for legroom on this long flight and we all know that is NOT CHEAP. The final straw was the fact that the crew spen most of their time in the galley in the back. EVERYONE was told if we wanted anything we had to get up and come to the back. They were not even answering the call lights. Horrible, horrible service and attitude from Lufthansa crew members. Thankfully, the dry cleaners will be able to clean my suit….. at MY COST.

Cons: "Flight was cancelled with NO NOTIFICATION. I learnt about it when i reached the airport - 3 hours before departure. And there was absolutely no one from Lufthansa available - innperson or on phone."
Pros: "Nice to have room to spread out. Amazing that a staffer in Greece managed to quickly rebook us on a different flight due to delays and the fear of missing our connection! The best!"
Cons: "Food wasn’t great. The movie system or user interface was clunky - nice variety of films but hard to find them and choose them."

Cons: "Metal bars in the middle of the leg room space make stowing a small carry on under the seat in front of you impossible for all passengers in a row. Also awkward to place feet around. No direct air vents so I felt hot even wearing just a t shirt. Breakfast not as good"
Pros: "Crew was courteous and professional. Food was okay. Movie selection really good."
Cons: "Wider seats and more leg room."

Cons: "It was comfortable flights, reasonable price , very nice crew, they got me all I need."

Cons: "The screen/entertainment is totally not working, and it’s not only my seat, it’s more than 4 seats not working just around my area and the crew cannot fix it. So we spent 12-13 hours without anything to watch or listen. The crew told us such Boeing 787 international flights in Hainan airline was used to run China domestic lines and the entertainment system was ruined by Chinese older passengers who do not know how to use it, but this sounds like a really stupid excuse for what happened, because there is no visible damage to any hardware of the entertainment system. I’m not suggesting taking Hainan airline until they fix this issue. By the way, on my return flight, my entertainment system works fine, but there is one person who sit in the front row had bad luck. Again, this is not occasional insident, it’s happening widely in this route."
Pros: "The company seems to be good based on their tv advertisement."
Cons: "Seems like the crew doesn’t pay attention to people who does not speak mandarin or don't want to pay attention to a different race, gender or color of people. They kept at minimum contact as possible even neglect to collect the snack rabish until called by their fellow Chinese who asked for that to be removed."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 7 hours. Airplane stopped at an airport 100 miles from my destination. I was several hours late after that unexpected stop & already 8 hours late from the prevvious delay. I won’t take hainan after this."
Cons: "Management is not strict. Too many people standing at the back talking all the way. It bothers others to sleep. No one care about it."
Cons: "When I arrived in Beijing Airport, I had to pick up my luggage and re-check in...... It was so not convenient for me since I need to catch another flights :("
Pros: "Food was quite good and there were plenty of TV and movie options to choose from. Little perks like warm washcloths before meals and a packet with slippers, an eye mask and a a toothbrush were a nice touch for an economy seat. Staff had a very helpful attitude."

Cons: "pls work out a system checking in luggages to destination directly, instead of rechecking in at transferring hub like Beijing. Can be stressful under time pressure. If there’s any flight delay, the whole trip can be messed up."

Cons: "Plane was late causing all kinds of commotion at the airport where to catch a transfer we were put on a bus for over 20min at 31deg weather with small kids. Not allowed to go to bathroom, it was terrible"

Cons: "It would’ve helped to land at the airport for which we booked the ticket. Landing 2 hours away didn’t help and the airline did not provide any compensation"

Pros: "Not a good experience rescheduling . The airlines and agents seemed to have formed a nexus to strip customers of money ."
Cons: "Fix this no cancellation and no refund nonsense . Plans change . And stop the charade of allowing changes but not really coz the change fee are so high and the process is super painful so that customer may drop the idea altogether"
Cons: "Checked in luggage did not arrive. Arrived on Thursday was told to wait till delivery on Monday. Is it normal for LOT customers to wait for they luggage for 4 days? Disappointed"
Pros: "The entertainment selection"
Cons: "Seats were brutally uncomfortable. It was unbearably hot the entire flight because the air was not turned on. And there was not the advertised amount of legroom."
Pros: "No frills flight. Crew not very sympathetic about flight departing late jeopardizing everyone’s connecting flights. Seemed like it must be a common occurrence."
Cons: "Flight departed an hour late."
