My flight was delayed. Alamo closed and I left without transportation.Cons:My flight was delayed. Alamo was aware of my flight number because it was notified by reservation and they are at the airport. Alamo closed and I left without transportation at the airport. I will never book again. I had a bad time and I was distressed to stay without transportation in a country that did not know anyone. I had to settle with another company.Reviewed 2017 Jun 19

Cons:I did not rent the car because when we got there and we showed the rate we had the guy keep saying that is impossible you have no insurance he wanted to charge us insurance for 3 days $175.00 and the car rate $43 for the 3 das we thought it was outrages and decided to take a cab to the resort which was only $35.00Reviewed 2017 May 26

Rates were double my reservation...Pros:NothingCons:My rate for a rental in DR was surprisingly affordable when I booked online. I went ahead and purchased the insurance made available during booking. When I arrived at the rental counter, additional insurance was required with the rental, regardless of the policy I'd purchased (mistakenly believing it was part of Alamo's a la carte options). So I had a useless insurance policy and the required Alamo insurance more than doubled the online quote. Bastards.Reviewed 2017 Feb 21

Car Rental in the Dominican RepublicPros:We had a few problems with Alamo but Rosario Rodríguez looked after everything for us. She saved the rental experience with Alamo.Cons:There is a mandatory insurance in the Dominican Republic you must pay which is very expensive. Kayak does not tell you about it when you reserve your car which is very wrong !!!!!!.This insurance us very expensive !!!!!Reviewed 2016 Nov 03

Terrible: I reserved a car and there were no cars!Pros:NothingCons:There were no cars! I reserved a car for 4:00 pm and got there, and they told me a car had to come from another town which would be there at 5:30. Worst experience ever. Would not recommend whatsoever.
