Terrible experienceNothingThey wouldn’t honor our reservation, claiming it wasn’t made there and that it was made another place further away from airport. Also , they said we got there late and we didn’t call. How can you call when your on the plane? Reservation was made for after 12 and we arrived at 2. Lastly they said we ran out of economy cars so all we have is an suv so that’ll be almost $1,000 instead of $360 original reservation. When we refused to rent like this we asked to use a phone to call a local friend. None of the rental call agents let us borrow a phone! They were trying to trap us there since we didn’t have cell service. Fortunately we called a friend using another customers cellphone and got out of there. Rented outside of that area the next day from someone local.

Didn’t Have Car For UsWe reserved two cars and when we arrived we called to confirm our reservations. They didn’t have either car for us. Our concierge confirmed that this is how EZ Rent a Car does business. You will show up and they will say they don’t have the car you reserved and instead try to rent you a more expensive car.

Horrible experienceWe got there and they told us they had no cars. And had not had any cars for days and wouldn't be getting any. They also said we could go find another car somewhere else but they couldn't help at all. And that they couldn't do anything about refunding anyone their money and people would have to send an email to wherever they booked and try to get one that way. There were people sitting there that had arrived before us and at least 10 more reservations that showed up after us to all be told the same thing. If they had known FOR DAYS they should have let us know. Make something happen to at least inform us when we traveled internationally with plans to pick up the car and drive 5 hours and needed the car for the next 11 days. Overall pretty terrible experience.

Felt like we were takenWe got a car. The car was comfortable and drove well.The company could not honor our reservation, telling us that they had no cars to give out. We were told that the company had over booked and that this was common practice during the holiday week. We were shocked again when, after 20 minutes of arguing with the clerk and then with the main office, and were still told there was nothing the company could do for us. Having run out of options, with a 5 hour drive to reach our accommodations, we offered to pay more if they got us a car. It was then that the clerk offered a car he had been saving for another client, but we ended up paying more than twice as much as the price we were given in our on-line confirmation, and it took an hour and a half to get the car.

Disgusting service from the staff st the counter, and did not have a single car available to rent. So instead of advising me that the rental could not be possible, I went all the way to the airport to be treated like an idiot. Also, the representative at the counter was trying to get me to pay twice the price with a competitor to try to do me a “favor”(as per his words). Very poor and will probably never use Kayak again.

0 stars because they didn't have a vehicle for usAbsolutely nothing.The fact that when we arrived they had no vehicles. Literally none and did not even try to help us find one. And we arrived ahead of our scheduled pick-up time to be safe. Horrible customer service and horrible company. Not what one wants to deal with when they arrive to a foreign country. Unacceptable.

We'vw been cheated, they didn't rent us any car.I would be capable to disband Kayak from the Internet.They promised us to bring the car in Bavaro although, in the very first day they invited us in Punta Cana Aiport. After we made more than 5 phone calls, on European roaming, calls consisting of: wait a second, wait a second, and we were discussing with many, many operators, calling us on Terminal A, afterwards on Terminal B, and again on A and B, we found out that they didn't even have the car we ordered. We had to pay 70 USD taxi, round trip and also 282 USD insurance for no car. It was a disaster that destroyed our holiday. It's a huge mistake to have them as your franchisors. They don't speak English, it's a huge waiting time, no car, and the services are a disaster!

Horrible rental companyNothingBait and switch on prices. My rental before arrival was around 270 dollars and at the airport it turned into 597 dollars. Apperantly they do not accept the rental insurance I have bought thru Kayak (which Kayak recommended) so I was forced to buy their insurance which turned out to be more than the rental itself. Horrible rental company and I am not happy with Kayak that offered me insurance. So pretty much I got screwed. Never again am I booking rentals thru a website.
