Terrible. Rude staff. Didn't want to help me or my wife. Left my wife in tears out the front with zero regard. We went to pick up our car, we had already made the booking in advance because we wanted to be organised. We had tours already paid for that we needed to be at. Arrived at downtown calgary avis on 10th ave and thats where the trouble started. Natalia was who we spoke with, Wouldn't use our international debit card even though it says in the terms and conditions that they do accept international debit cards? She offered zero help as to what we could do to get us on our way, zero compassion or concern for us sitting out the front with all of our bags while my wife was crying. The only input she had was "this isnt worth me losing my job" Went to another avis and received the best service and used our international debit card with no problems. The downtown calgary avis needs to have a serious talk with current staff about customer service. Due to natalia's lack of care and willingness to help, we lost money for a tour that we had already paid for. Lost money having to go elsewhere and hire another car. Big line up. Computer was down. Only one person was attending and writing all info by hand. Other people were around but not interested in helping customer. I rented a car one-way from Calgary airport with a drop off in Banff. I rented the car at about noon and return the car in Banff approx. 7:00pm. I told them I’d be arriving to Banff after they closed at 6:00pm and I was told to put the keys on the drop box. It took me forever to find the parking and when I did find it. I followed the Avis return signs. Once I made about 2 turns down the parking garage, I came to a sign that said the Avis rental car return was closed and to go back up a level. I did this, I found a place to park and went upstairs and dropped the keys in the drop box. I had the car approx. 7 hours total. Today, 4 days later, I got a call from Avis asking if I still had the rental car that was supposed to be returned on the 12th. I told him all of this and I still have not heard back, I still have a huge charge on my credit card and no receipt. Absolute WORST experience!!!Reviewed 2024 Sept 16

I have heard about the AVIS , the best , but i am really sorry to say if you do not have stock of cars why you take advance booking . I was standing 2 hour for getting the key how ever i requested many time but they newer had listen . I have very bad experience with AVIS , I am a business man twice a month i come from vancouver first time i took your company. but very very bad experience , you should hire the soft spoken and care taken employ for public dealing . regards.
