The car was to come with a GPS but it wasn’t installed. They don’t provide portable GPS units. Fortunately we have a cell phone with us and the charge cord fits. They were very helpful in explaining the car’s features and the car manual was supplied.Reviewed 2022 Sep 16

Cons:I felt pressured to upgrade to a car model that I did not need for my trip. When I arrived I was told that the car I had reserved many weeks in advance would not be ready for quite some time, but I could upgrade for minimal cost. Easy check in, friendly staffPros:The check in was easy, no waiting. Was able to upgrade with GPS, which was the best decision.Cons:Signs to get to the check in and check out were not posted well. Difficulties with reservationPros:Making a reservation was easy, prices quoted looked great.Cons:I couldn't change the name on my reservation, and had to cancel the original and make a new reservation in order to accomplish this. My confirmation email was never sent to me, and the actual price at the counter appeared to be more than my reservation price. I also tried to reserve a midsize SUV, but ended up getting a Volkswagen golf (which is supposedly a size larger than what I reserved.Reviewed 2018 Jun 10

Long wait times to retrieve carPros:Clean car and nice customer service once we were finally helped.Cons:They need better signage informing customers that Avis and budget are one and the same. Stood in line for Budget for an hour waiting on the one and only attendant to check us in to our vehicle. Also still not sure if they will charge me for gas since they gave the car to me almost empty and stated on the agreement it was full. Nobody goes to the car with you to confirm, I did take a picture but I still feel like it’s my word against there’s. I’ll update this if I was overcharged from the original estimate due to them charging for gas they didn’t give in the first place.Reviewed 2018 May 30

Gave damaged car & overchargedPros:Very little because they are very frustrating to deal with.Cons:Damaged car needed to be exchanged, cutting into vacation time. They then tacked on damage charges that wee already documented on pickup. Budget has since refused to send an itemized bill explaining their crazy charges. Very frustrating!Reviewed 2017 Sep 21
