I was promised an economy car in writing from Budget for $186.00 including taxes. When I arrived, I was given a choice of either a 15 passenger van, or a large pickup truck! When I complained, the very rude lady at the desk said that’s all they have, and wanted to charge me over $400 for 2 days. I finally took the pickup, but at 73 years old, I had a hard time getting in an out of this huge truck. Horrible experience and service! NEVER AGAIN will I use Budget! I want a refund!Reviewed 2022 Jun 19

The lady at the desk repeatedly kept trying to force the insurance coverage on me and the car was filthy when I picked it up.Reviewed 2022 Feb 28

Staff was friendly and helpful. Why in 2022 is it still such an arduous process to pick up a car. Need more grab and go options.Reviewed 2022 Feb 20

There was a 40-minute wait at the check-in counter, even though no other car rental facilities had any line. Budget should do more to staff their office appropriately. There is a mask mandate at the airport, and yet two of the three Budget staffers (both men in their 20s) were not wearing masks, even when dealing with elderly customers. The car had trash under the seats, in the arm rest, and while it was generally clean enough, it had not been checked carefully. The car had 7/8 of a tank of gas upon pickup--it was not full as promised. I was not impressed with this rental experience.Reviewed 2022 Feb 01

Booked the car a very long time ago for covid reasons, budget honored the low rate a year later and I then upgraded the car for $15.00 a day to a full size SUV. Excellent service!Reviewed 2021 Dec 18

The staff at checkin was very friendly and apologetic, but the first two cars that they assigned to me had dead batteries. I had to walk across the large parking lot several times to get a new vehicle.Reviewed 2021 Sep 28

The person at the counter was rude and I got then feeling that she was trying to find an excuse not to rent. When she said that they would put a $600 plus hold on a one day rental, I said no thanks, went to the competition (Herts) counter, rented a larger car for half the price and only a $200 hold.Reviewed 2021 Jul 31
