Pros: I live in Austin and we experienced a winter storm which caused United to cancel my flight to New Orleans. I called and cancelled my car rental due to the unprecented winter storm. Hertz only refunded me $43. They kept $50 of my money even though this was not my fault at all. I won’t use kayak or hertz again.
Cons: I prepaid for a car . When I went to pick the car up , hertz said they didn’t have cars available.
Cons: The car smelled like smoke and was missing the gas cap. I also received no instructions on returning the car on a Sunday when Hertz is closed.
Pros: We showed up to Hertz to pick up our car and waited about 15 minutes in line to be helped when the manager came out and said he couldn’t help us and they were closed and no longer renting out cars due to the bad weather. He “apologized” that the two workers at the desk did not notify us but said the most he could do was have us come back tomorrow at 12. We missed our tour and lost our money and even worse they made us wait outside to figure out a way to get back in town since we were stranded! When asked why we weren’t notified so we didn’t waste our time he said we tried to send emails but maybe we missed you. The person next to us waiting was in the same boat and said he never received a text, email or call either so clearly that was a lie. Worst service I’ve ever experienced would not recommend this Hertz.

Cons: You booked the pickup time for a time after their business closed on Saturday. Hertz then sent us to the airport location, where there was a huge wait only to find out they didn’t have any available cars. When we went to go get the car when they reopened on Monday, we waited in a long line again only to be told they didn’t have a car for us (and wouldn’t have had one even if they had been open when we tried to get it the first time).
Pros: Nothing really.
Cons: I could have driven away with a rental car. Instead I waited an hour and the car never showed up and I wasted $22 in round trip ubers just to go home and rent a car from another company.

Cons: We booked a car 1 week prior to travel. Arrived at the airport of our destination and called the rental car company in which they told us they were closed and had no more cars. Our pickup time was for 4 pm and apparently they close at 4 pm. Why would they allow us to book this? And Why weren’t we notified in advance there were no cars?
Cons: The Staff.. they were rude.. I booked a car in advance for Labor Day weekend.. sent me confirmation and charged me.. I get there and what they have to tell me is they don’t have any cars to give.. what a pathetic group.. I was stuck in New Orleans for like 2 days cuz they didn’t have a car and I had to depend on a family member driving from hours away just to come get me at the last minute
Cons: It would've been better if they didn't accept the reservation since they knew there were no pickup trucks in inventory. Also, no help with trying to find one.
