Pros:Car was fine. They had a very limited selection and had to force upgrade me (which cost me more in gas).Cons:They did NOT accept the Allianz insurance I had purchased online via Kayak and insisted I purchase their insurance. This more than doubled the cost of the rental. Allianz did refund me, but Kayak should not offer this option if Hertz will not accept it.Reviewed 2021 May 02

Pros:When we went to pick up the car, we were told that they didnt have any cars available. There were others cars on the lot at a much higher price. Very disappointed as we were on vacation and were left in limbo at the last second.Cons:That they would’ve notified us ahead of time of the availability of cars. At a minimum they should had let us rent a car of our choosing at the same or lower rate as our reservation.Reviewed 2021 Apr 15

Pickup in SantiagoPros:It was easy to get to and it was fast to pick up the car. They also offer a wifi hotspot instead of GPS which we loved. The whole two days we had the rental we had access to wifi to use google maps and to be connected to our family abroad.Cons:There was an airport tax applied to our reservation that was not part of our original booking. It was about an extra $10 so it wasn't a big deal, but I would have preferred to know all associated fees upfront.Reviewed 2017 Jan 29

False price informationPros:Samuel was friendlyCons:I booked online, it showed the total was $27 dollars, Samuel tells me i had to get a car insurance for $36 dollars, i thought he was joking since the rate to rent the car was a lot lower, there was nothing in the web that explained suck a thing, or they were gonna put a hold on my card of $800 dollars, take into consideration i had just started my vacations, this is the worst experience ever, ended up paying $64 dollars and a hold of $70 dollars. Another guy rented the same way, was supposed to pay $249 and with the insurance price went up to $460. #ridiculousReviewed 2016 Sep 23
