Pros: Fabulous facility in a beautiful setting. Friendly and efficient staff.

Pros: The pool setup was great. Our kids had so much fun playing on the waterslides at the pool and loved the s'mores at night. Even though there was plenty for the kids to do, it was still a great spot for adults, too. Had a wonderful weekend and would definitely go back.

Pros: I did a staycation here and loved it! I love the location of this resort near the La Cantera Mall and the Rim shopping center. The adult only pool was nice, especially in the morning when it was cooler in the day and quiet. The pool attendants were very attentive in asking us for any orders we wanted. The grounds of the resort itself are beautiful. I love the back terrace as a place to sit and chat during the cool evening. There is plenty of seating to enjoy the scenery. Enjoyed a movie on the lawn one night under the stars, which was also a fun touch.

Pros: We were upgraded to the VIP floor! It was wonderful! Great breakfast!!! The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. View was amazing. The weather was cold and there were only 4 people in the pool. The water slide was scheduled to open at 10:00. I asked a young man (staff member) walking by if it would open as scheduled. It was about 20 minutes to 10:00. He kindly offered to open the slide at that moment. There were s'mores in the evening. We parked in self parking. The very attentive attendants took us to our car in a golf cart, which was really fun for our daughter and an extra chance to enjoy the views!! Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the resort. Next time we will stay longer. Some reviewers said resort was looking old. We thought it was fantastic. After renovations this resort is going to be out of this world!!!

Pros: We had nothing but trouble with Kayak and Getaroom. The Getaroom staff, in fact, was terrible. I will never use Kayak or Getaroom ever again. The Valencia was great, though. Wonderful staff.

Pros: We really appreciated the location of the hotel, it was really convenient in that sense, it was within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The staff was also really friendly.

Pros: We have traveled often and frequently. We arrived and found that the best service, ambience, and dining was apparent. Our room was perfect, room for our luggage, etc. Can't wait to return.

Pros: Staff was unprofessional. Check in was at 3, we got there at 7 and the room still wasnt ready. While we waited for 45 minutes we had to get dressed in the public restroom and my girlfriend had to straighten her hair in the hallway because there was no outlets in the restroom. After we finally got our room we had to rush to the spurs gsme that we had planned and ended up missing the first quarter all because of the staff at the hotel. We decided to switch hotels the next day. Other than that the hotel was really nice looking.

Pros: Great location since we could walk a block and a half to the majestic theater. Beautiful room, nice view, but the restaurant was closed for dinner and the breakfast was $63 dollars.

Pros: Great historic hotel in the center of where we wanted to be. We could walk out the front door of the hotel, cross the street and enter the back of the Alamo grounds. Absolutely beautiful! Our kids loved that we could walk to the River Walk and explore. Beds were comfortable, no fridge or microwave but it's a historic hotel, I didn't expect them to have the electricity to support all that.

Pros: This is the second time I have chosen the Crockett hotel. It is a historic 7 story hotel. The hotel has been remodeled with fresh updated fixtures and appliances. These rooms are huge. You could do gymnastics in them. The staff is super friendly and actually happy to see you. Breakfast is typical eggs, waffels and such. The location is why you want stay here but the staff and hotel is why you will be back.

Pros: The breakfast was really good. Not spectacular, but better than any of my group expected. We ate there every morning. The pool may be small, but it's a little oasis! So beautiful! As a matter of fact, the entire hotel was beautiful! We were worried that it was going to be somewhat far from the convention center, but we just cut through the mall every time and it was super easy and fast. Next year, it'll be our little sneaky way to stay close to the convention without staying in the godawful convention hotel or one of the overpriced surrounding hotels.

Pros: Older hotel but you would never know it. Super comfortable bed and all updated fixtures including the bathroom. Even the air conditioning was set at just the right temperature. This hotel is located in the best location possible for being a tourist or just going down to the riverwalk to party like a rock star. It is about 10 feet from the Alamo. The staff was at check in was accommodating and friendly. I cant wait to stay here again.

Pros: I have usually stayed at the Menger Hotel as I like the old fashioned ambiance of vintage hotels. I also love drinking in the Menger Bar where Teddy Roosevelt recruited his Rough Riders. The Crockett is right next door and has pretty much the same ambiance as the Menger but at almost half the price! I will be staying here from now on.

Pros: My husband and I love to go to San Antonio a few times a year to get away for a few days. We almost always stay at The Crockett. The rooms are clean and the location is great! The hotel bar Ernie's is a great place to go and unwind after all the sight-seeing. The bartender Travis is an awesome asset for the hotel!! He is one for great conversation and always recommends excellent places to try for dinner!

Pros: Pleasantly surprised. My expectations were low given the amount I paid for a 3 day stay and was impressed upon room entry.

Pros: The only issue I had was the TV was to the side of the bed instead at the end of the bed.

Pros: Room was roomy and comfortable, Bed was firm and comfy. Location close to downtown, within walking distance (1/2 mile) to river walk and a about a mile to El Alamo or the Market. No need to drive. Parking in San Antonio downtown is expensive. You can take the bus near the hotel, and get off in two stops, but no need to drive unless you go to the Missions or the caverns.

Pros: Fast check in and out, very friendly helpful staff. Recently renovated, tastefully decorated lobby, large clean room, comfortable beds, clean bathroom. Included breakfast is very nice, fresh hot foods, healthy choices. Restaurant is clean, roomy with comfortable seatings. Location is quiet, yet accessible. Attractions are short walking distance or short ride away. Highly recommend and definitely will stay again when come visit the nice friendly city in the future. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Pros: Love the fact that from the time you pull in till the time you leave the staff takes all the stress out of your stay. Also love that you can walk right out the doors and your on the river walk.

Pros: The good news is that the hotel is right on the River Walk, so you're right in the heart of the action. If you're looking for action - this is the place to stay.

Pros: This bad experience had ever happened to me and my family before. I will never use again KAYAK again to book my reservations. Result, they have this "Getaroom" subsidiary with a poor description of their booking application, and it scammed you before you know the transaction has a nonrefundable policy until it is too late via your email confirmation. I called them, my credit card, agent, and the hotel. None of them were in the good customer satisfaction attitude to refund my money, cancel, or reschedule the booking transaction. Be aware of using them to book your reservation before it is too late. Anyone can make a mistake some time, but this Draculonian thirsty-blooded camming business does not care for you. Pray to Lord, this kind of business entities does not prosper any more in the traveler's economy.

We parked our car at valet but wasn't aware that it was $40/night. You might find cheaper options in one of the many parking garages close by. All and all...great place to stay!

Pros: Staff were very nice and helpful, for example, suggesting I park in the structure across the street for much less than the nightly on site parking charge, with no real lack of convenience. The location on the river was excellent--directly out the back door to River Walk. The sister property directly across the river, Mokara, has an excellent gym available to La Mansion guests. Very friendly staff at the bar with a reasonably priced, tasty, late night dinner.

Pros: Being an Onmi hotel I had much higher expectations. It was very dark, although they wanted a certain style (not sure exactlybwhat it was, old, Mexican, historic) they didn't pull it off very well. The carpets were dirty and dull, the room was musty and very dark. The staff was very friendly, the location was prrfect, right in the heart of the fun, the bed was very comfortable and the towels were nice.

Pros: Love the balconies over the river walk, historic character of the building and that it's pet friendly. Enjoyed listening to the church bells in the pool court yard (we were there on Easter Sunday morning).
