Unacceptable ploy to provoke the customer to pay mCons:I scheduled to pick up the car at 7:30 in the morning but was not able to take a car from you because my insurance company was not open until 10 a.m. and I was told that you needed verification that I have insurance or I would have to pay your $25 insurance. Of course, I declined and moved over to the next counter, Alamo, to get a car from them. My question is, if you know that you cannot give a person a car until their insurance company opens to verify the insured, why bother opening before office hours? I felt misled that there would be a car available for me at 7:30 a.m., and I believe that insisting that I would have to wait for verification from my insurance company that I am insured is only a ploy to get the customer to pay $25 extra so that they can get out of there. As I said, I declined; and within five minutes I had a car given to me by your competitor without any insurance hassles.Reviewed 2017 Mar 13

Pros:Staff was very friendly. They did not have record of my economy car reservation from Kayak. They were able to place me in a Ford F150 instead of an economy sized car that was ordered. The lady stated that 3rd party vendors information doesn't always come through with details.Cons:Have the car size as requested.Reviewed 2020 Jul 20

Pros:Not much.Cons:Once the staff showed up at the booth they were friendly and helpful. But I had to wait 25 minutes and call the person since they were "moving cars around". Then there were "computer problems", so the pick off took way much longer than it should have. I was told that the "manager's special" that I reserved was an F-150 pick up truck. There was nothing on my reservation that said that so I couldn't dispute it - so in order to get a smaller car, I was charged an additional $10 per day. Plus I was tired from traveling all day, it had already taken way to long to pick up a car, so I didn't argue. I think they plan things that way.Reviewed 2020 Jul 12

Good on a budget!Pros:I liked the fuel economy for the size vehicle I rented. I rented the 15 passenger van and was very surprised at the fuel economy for such a big vehicle. I really liked the size and price of the rental. if you have a big group or a lot of cargo, this is the way to go! it had me wanting to possibly purchase a vehicle similar to this is the future.Cons:When I picked the vehicle up the attendant told me the low tire air message was on and gave me some lame excuse to why it was on. She had no idea what she was talking about which made me a little apprehensive about the rental. The van was not as clean as I would have liked but it wasn't nasty either. There was dirt and debris on the floors and the drink holders in the passenger area had spilt drink in them along with a chicken bone on the floor. I didn't like when I dropped it off and no one came out to do the damage inspection.Reviewed 2016 Nov 30

Managers specialPros:Quick and easy pickup and drop-offCons:When reserving the rental, I bypassed the economy and compact options and chose the managers special. In the past, I’ve been very pleased and found a value excellent. She quickly told me that the managers special today was a compact/economy (I’m 6’2”, 235). I asked for something a little bigger but was not given a different option. It was raining outside so the car had not been washed -but that’s not horribly important. A 300 mile drive in a dirty Kia Rio with no cruise control is not what I considered a “special “deal. It got me there and back but on the zero amenities plan . For the record, the economy or compact option would’ve been about six dollars cheaper. I was told I could upgrade to a midsize but it would be an extra charge. Lesson learned. I gained no favor when I told her I had bought the insurance online. At return, the same girl was polite and pleasant yet remained unsympathetic.Reviewed 2018 Jul 28

Not so badPros:Every part of the transaction was smooth and painless. Online booking and very helpful friendly staff when picked up and dropped off. The price was very reasonable and competitive. I wanted an inexpensive ride while my truck was in the shop and this fit the bill nicely. I actually returned one day early because my truck was ready. They quickly refunded the difference without penalty.Cons:I picked up the rental without issue but as I leave the parking lot the tire pressure sensor light came on. I quickly pulled over to check for a flat and didn't see any issues. It's really cold so I figured the pressure was reading low because of how cold it was. At my first stop I noticed one of the tires was really low. I drove to the nearest tire shop to have them fill the tire and they informed me that the tire was plugged and had a slow leak around the plug. I didn't have time to deal with it so I just kept an eye on it and stopped 2 more times for air before returning the rental the next day. I mentioned it when I dropped it off and they said they would get it checked out.Reviewed 2018 Jan 19

Nice car, free upgrade but too much Febreze made mPros:Nice upgrade since they were running short of vehiclesCons:Think something got spilled or someone got sick in the car based on bits I overheard and VERY strong smell of Febreze. But I got some disinfectant cloths and kept the windows down for the first day and it worked out okay.Reviewed 2016 Nov 05

They didn't have the vehicle I reservedPros:The staff member was friendlyCons:I reserved a pickup truck. Their computer system allowed me to do so. I received a confirmation email that I was renting a pickup truck abs could pick it up on the appointed day. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the lady said, "I'm so sorry, we don't have any trucks for you. I can put you in a minivan. I left and thankfully Enterprise saved the day.Reviewed 2018 Oct 04

Pros:We were upgraded since they didn't have the size car requested available, price was the same. The car worked nicely and smelled fine. We were able to extend the contract still the same price over the phone.Reviewed 2017 Aug 16
