Pros:Staff unable to check whether I could use AARP or AAA discounts at time of check-in. Said I needed a “code.” Or maybe a secret handshake?Cons:Rental vehicle did not have a snow brush snd it snowed 2 of the 5 days I rented the vehicle. Come on - it’s Minnesota March weather madness! Cons:I drove from Minnesota to California which included very smoky areas near fires in Oregon and California. I wanted to make sure I had a good spare tire before I left. There wasn't a spare tire. The attendant said the rental cars don't have spares. He gave me a number to call if I needed assistance. The problem is there was no cell service in many areas. Getting a flat tire in the fire ravaged areas would have been very dangerous possibly deadly to my health. Spare tires should be in each vehicle!!Reviewed 2020 Sep 17

Pros:Checkout procedure was about as fast as I've ever had it. Very simple and quick.Cons:I rented Ford Edge or similar, but got some Mitsubishi clunker. I think most people know Mitsubishi is not a quality car maker. You could tell right off that the car was not of great build quality inside and out. It got to where I needed to go, but pickup was poor and there some stutters with the transmission multiple times during the 3 day rental.Reviewed 2020 Aug 30

Pros:The staff was friendly.Cons:We sat in the waiting area for over an hour while the vehicle we reserved WEEKS prior was “being cleaned.” After repetitive asking the employee offered different types of vehicles. I was on a cycling trip and needed a pick up truck and eventually left with a mini van. What is the purpose of the reservation system if the vehicle type i asked for is not available? Also this is Covid, people aren’t traveling - where are the vehicle selection choices?Reviewed 2020 Aug 19

Pros:My Alamo rep was very good and friendly! We had a nice interaction!Cons:While it was my choice, I did choose the Kia Soul due to wanting a smaller call, but nice and roomy. Choices were slim, mainly vans, so I chose the Soul. However, it was very smokey.Reviewed 2020 Jul 31
