Very rude staff. Talked to multiple individuals but they both were equally rude. And their expressions were clearly saying - we don’t care about customer satisfaction, we are all about money! Picking up was a painful experience. The line was extremely long, which is understandable considering it is near the cruise ship port. The building was hot and jammed pack with people. There was no space for clear line. It took over 2.5 hours to pick up a vehicle. They definitely needed more agents, and probably more agents getting the dropped off vehicles ready. My car was clean but I heard complaints around me of dirty cars. The agents were friendly, even under the circumstances and they allowed me to pick up a car even though my original booking was not at that location. Pick up was a nightmare. Took over 90 minutes to line up and get a car. Took the Budget shuttle from the cruise port. It identified only as Budget and the driver didn't advise that there are 2 locations. Of course I was at the wrong location. Paid an additional fee so I could get a car after the longest wait. The guy behind the counter wanted me to buy the toll pass for $13 per day. Said there was no option of paying if I didn't have exact change and it would cost me $10 to $15 to get to Orlando from Port Canaveral, it cost me no more than $10 and each toll had a person that was there to give change. The toll from Disney to the airport $2.75. It would have cost an additional $70 had we bought the "toll plan" as recommended. If I spent $15, it would surprise me. Drop off was a breeze. Very bad experience. Actually I would expect for compensation. I rented a car from budget three times in my vacation, in each time it was a bad experience. The worse was in Cape Canaveral. I had to spend hours- very expensive hours to get a car and thank to fix / change the car beacouse a problem in it. Also in Miami . We had to wait 1.5 hours to be picked up by the Budget shuttle and then had to wait another 2 hours at the Budget facility to get our car. We had a reservation and still had to stand in line for 2 hours to get the car. We had reserved a Ford Edge because that was the largest midsize SUV available when booking the reservation, and there were 5 of us with 7 pieces of luggage. When we finally got through the line to get our vehicle they gave us a Jeep and said that was the largest vehicle they had. Absolutely the worst rental experience I've ever had and I rent cars every week. I highly recommend seeking a rental elsewhere unless you have very low expectations, time to burn, and don't want to get what you pay for.Reviewed 2022 Jun 26

We booked the same address we picked the car up from initially the week before. Somehow, in order to pick up at this address, it needs to be labeled as “Port Canaveral” and not “Cape Canaveral”. Same street, same number. But this budget charges $9.99 more for the “change” from one location to another. This is a scam and should be removed as a selection. They had us by the throat leaving us no option but to take a smaller car (we paid for a full size car but were told all they had was a Kia Forte for four people and luggage or no car at all) and the $9.99 charge. Also, the car was still dirty including an half empty open beer in my 11 year olds door cup holder and brown vomit on the interior roof. I have pictures of all these as well.Reviewed 2022 Apr 05
