The cat we originally picked up did not have good fuel economy. We drove it for 3 days and then rang Budget to ask about exchanging it. They said take it in to Sacramento airport desk and they will sort it. We did this and the gentleman at the counter could not have been more helpful. We picked a Hyundai Elantra and it was perfect for our trip down south to the Grand Canyon and southern national parks. Full marks to Budget for their customer service and no hassle car hire.Reviewed 2022 Oct 30

The first car I was given was smaller than I reserved because the orignal had not been cleaned yet. However, the one I was given was full of ants. I didn’t notice until the drive to my office, but by the time I arrived there I didn’t have time to return. Luckily I ended a meeting early allowing me to return for a new car and was given one actually in my class. This was a major hassle for me and made me late in leaving for my trip, not to mention having to spray to kill the ants in the first car I was given.Reviewed 2022 Oct 10

Cons:Full size car not available. Have a car with nasty stale cigarette smell. Then changed to a very small SUV calling it an upgrade. Line waiting at Sacramento was half hour with 3 customers in line. Budget needs to streamline the process and provide a clean car as promised. I paid $317 for 4 days rental. Pros:Staff was non existent. Only one guy working the counter at check in and it took us about 45 minutes in line. No one was there when we dropped off car. We waited for a bit but then had to leave to catdh our flight.Cons:More staffingReviewed 2021 Apr 16
