I was told I would only be charged $36 for taxes since I prepaid with a third party. I have a charge to my credit card of $236. Hopefully $200 will be credited back soon?Reviewed 2023 Aug 24

Drop of was fast and the attendant was very friendly. The car was not what I expected, it was very dirty in and out, it had a strange smell and it was missing the front right hubcap. I was very disappointed with the car. I won't use Dollar again.Reviewed 2023 Jun 13

There were at least a hundred people in line in front of us. They were estimating 2-3 hours to get through the line. We luckily had a friend who had just received a car from another company and so we bailed and rode with him. Next time I'm paying more for a better company.Reviewed 2023 May 22

I had to wait nearly as long in line at the Sacramento airport Dollar rental as the flight from Portland had been (& I was 4th in a line of probably 40). 2 agents handling Thrifty/Dollar, appeared quite relaxed in their tempo of work. When I finally got to speak to the agent I asked if they were short-staffed. “Oh no, it’s always like this at Dollar/Thrifty). Probably a good idea to go with Hertz even though it’s going to cost a bit more.” I will be needing her advice.Reviewed 2023 May 07

The company did not have my reservation available. They provided me with an upgrade but the communication was poor and they charged me $400 extra for the vehicle when I thought it was a slight increase from my $200 I had already set for the reservation.Reviewed 2023 Apr 12

It would have been good to know that because I was paying with my bank debit card they hold $500 in addition to the cost of the rental. Our plans while on vacation we’re cancelled because of this. I will not use a 3rd party for booking a rental of any sort because of this. The car rental was fantastic and the people we worked with at Dollar were great… not going in prepared for the extra $500 was very disappointing. Instead of putting this in tiny writing somewhere that it will likely not be seen it needs to be more plainly and visible!Reviewed 2023 Mar 23
