I reserved a luxury car (Cadillac or similar). On arrival I was told there were no luxury cars.I was offered a VW SUV instead. Not exactly a luxury car, or even similar. I was given no explanantion. The rate was adjusted, at least.Could've had the damn class of vehicle I reserved.

Your company is not synchronized with Alamo car rental availabilityI would like you not to make reservations if there is no availability of vehicles because you not only made me waste time, but you put me in difficulties , since the Alamo company denied me the vehicle arguing that they did not have available vehicles.
Vehicle was excellent. Size, comfort and had all the bells and whistles. The only minor issue was, the windows weren't quite as clean as they probably could have been.

Drop off in Wichita Falls at the Walmart on Lawrence Ave. There are no visible signs to indicate there is a drop off at this location. I drove around the parking lot looking for a rental car parking and found none. I walked from one end of the store to the other before finding a small alcove with a very basic set up. Recommend Budget place some signage out for folks to find them.

I was told on the contract that I would pay $33 at pickup, which I did. The contract stated that I would pay $88 at return. I actually paid $104 at the return. Stop lying to customers to get their business and then breach the contract.

Staff was good when I dropped off and understanding of my issue. They further discounted the rental for me to compensate for the inconvenience.The car was not cleaned well when I picked up. There was a lot of dirt and mud around the exterior crevices and door jambs as if the truck was taken off road by the previous renter. Windows inside were filthy and there was no window washer solvent left. Dash was also dusty.

When I arrived at Hertz in Fayetteville, the agent said he was trying to reach me to let me know they did not have a full sized car the class I rented. Yet, I had received not received a call, text nor email. This happens frequently and I was not upset the particular class was not available. What was upsetting was my rate was for $217 without telling me he changed the rate to $247 and added an additional $10 upgrade fee. He then pulled out an economy SUV when he had a midsized SUV in the lot. When I got in the car it smelled like smoke and had 3/4 tank of gas. I went back in and he added notes regarding the gas and smell. I called the 800 number several times regarding these issues. I got bounced around and never received callbacks from supervisors. I have to thank the drop off location in Fredericksburg, VA. They were professional and personable. They fixed the billing to the best of their abilities. Overall my experience sucked. But, the drop off location saved the day.

Staff did not care about giving me a clean car. After I left, I called to report smoke issues with AC use and car stalling at times. Bad gas? No remedy was offered. When I got to the airport, Hertz was not even there to do my return. My car agent n vet discussed my plans at all The worst car rental ever. Maybe I should have gone through the Airport rental instead of private franchise. I put 4 calls into Hertz to help me...Better customer service and an attitude of caring...

Wasted time.I liked the easy process to reserve a vehicleIf you are active duty you have to bring your LES when you pick up your vehicle. But no where beforehand is that disclosed. So I showed up at the reserved time, to pick up a vehicle and wasn’t able to because they needed my LES.
There was a long line of customers waiting to pick up their rentals. The counter had two people working with only two cleaning. There were six people ahead of me and they were bringing keys to one vehicle every 45 minutes. After waiting over two hours, I canceled my reservation and booked with Enterprise. In two minutes, I walked out of there with a really nice vehicle. The military guys still waiting couldn’t change their reservations. Oh—and there was some knucklehead at the counter complaining about the vehicle he DID get. It was a nightmare.
