Rental counter was closed when I arrived was unable to pick up my car I had to rent a car from enterprise it was open for the night so I could go for Key West to Marathon then I had to go back in the morning to return the enterprise car to pick up my Dollarama car which I picked up which was dirty and smelt like smoke and lady was rude at the counter and told me was the only vehicle they had but I could pay to upgrade to a clean car used the car for 10 days returned it to Fort Myers airport explain to the drop off people that the car was dirty and it wasn’t full of gas they were very apologetic and then proceeded to charge me $400 for smoking in the car I’m a non-smoker and pointed out the smell in the car when I picked it up from the counter person the car look like it was just returned and rented again very unhappy with Dollarama car I hope that now that Hertz has bought them They get dissolved along with the personnel! never again!!! We all appreciate customer service right? My flight got canceled, had to rebook in a nearby city, and they couldn’t transfer my pick up location to help my trip at a major hub where cars were plentiful. I went with Enterprise, no issues there!Reviewed 2021 Aug 18

Pros:Did not have to have to take a bus. Car quality. Easy drop off.Cons:The check in process was horribly long - more than an hour. Not enough staff. The person was nice and knowledgeable but needed help. We had to wait longer while she stopped serving people in line so she could prepare preferred customer contracts.Reviewed 2021 Jun 02

Cons:Key West airport is crowded and when we arrived the Dollar rental sign was off. There was a small sign to go to Hertz that I didn't see until most of the crowd had moved out. Then, there was only ONE agent working. Clearly, there should have been more agents there. Thankfully, there was no line when there for drop off.Reviewed 2021 May 22

Cons:Dollar did note have the car I reserved on lot. They instead gave me a compact SUV and charged me for the full price of the premium convertible I reserved. Since it was booked via Kayak I couldn't get a refund and there were no other options available. Overall, I would not book a car from Dollar again not use a third party website like Kayak.Reviewed 2021 Jan 04

Pros:Vehicle was in good condition.Cons:The larger vehicle I had reserved was not available when I arrived. It had been sent to Miami (for Superbowl). I had specifically reserved the extra large vehicle to transport groups of people. Had to make extra trips because my reservation was not kept. Also... I left my jacket in the vehicle. Trying to contact lost and found seems near impossible. I pout a description and request in the on-line Lost and Found... but have heard nothing. I'm not sure if the different rental agencies talk to each other... when I arrived they issued the vehicle through Thrifty (not Dollar)... do they get the same request for Lost and Found? -Spencer Wayne (507) 215-1604Reviewed 2020 Feb 10
