Cons: The car was not well maintained. Windows were filthy (so bad i had to go buy windex and clean them myself). Car was bare bones and dirty inside (stains on seat and floor).
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. We got an upgrade which was a bonus. Simple pickup and drop off.
Cons: I just don't appreciate having to pay an daily fee for an extra driver. I feel that since my husband and i are on the same insurance and we always share the driving, there should be no extra fee.
Excellent service, great Rav 4 vehicle, good value
Pros: Loved the Rav 4! It only had 7500 miles on it. The staff were so nice!
Cons: Everything about my experience was exceptional.
Stole my money for the wrong car
Pros: The pickup went smoothly and the car was very clean.
Cons: I was given a sports car despite requesting a larger vehicle to transport passengers. They had to be crammed into the back with barely enough room for luggage for a long trip. Then, I returned the car a day early (more than 24 hours early), and I was refused payment for the difference. I have used almost every car rental company at the Grand Junction Regional Airport, and Hertz is by far the WORST. Kayak refused to do anything about the refund. I'll reserve directly with the rental companies from now on.
Pros: Very easy pick up and drop off.
Cons: Was given a much larger vehicle than reserved. It was called an upgrade but what it ended up being was much more $$ for gas.
Great Customer Service
Pros: The agent in Grand Junction was super patient, even though I was there earlier than their posted opening time and also helped me with a credit card issue I had.
I did not receive a car
Cons: My license was expired. I was able to renew the license on line and the associate still would not rent me a vehicle. I want my money back.
Problem with insurance
Pros: The car had four wheels.
Cons: There was no communication between the 3rd party insurance company and Hertz. I purchased insurance through a 3rd party and when I picked up the car, I was told I still needed insurance. I had to pay an extra $200 for something I already had. I've rented plenty of vehicles from Sixt with no trouble. Definitely will not be renting from Hertz any time soon.
Pros: Very friendly people at the counter
Hertz was very helpful and willing to help us get around Grand Junction with our late arrival. Everyone was very helpful. One of the service guys tracked us down when we returned the car due to us leaving a phone charger. How many folks would do that?? Excellent customer service! I would use Hertz again.
Cons: We didn't like that we couldn't use our AAA card for a further discount when we arrived at Hertz. The system wouldn't allow for this. Next time will go directly to the rental agency. A few extra bucks in our pocket would have covered another dinner.
Pros: We had a stone kicked up from an 18 wheeler and was concerned about how to handle the issue with Hertz since were didn't take out the extra coverage. We called our insurance and had everything arranged but did have a deductible. When we pulled into Hertz, the al who managed our car in Phoenix gave us a flat rate which was less then our deductible and did it all in one transaction. I had envisioned having to hassle with a manager but it was painless and we paid the flat amount. Car was great and we couldn't have been happier!
Cons: Car wasn't ready she we arrived to Grand Junction, which wasn't a big deal but they did ask us if we would take a smaller car but it turned out the price was higher for the smaller car. We went to lunch and got the bigger car - a Nissan Rogue, which was very ice.
Cons: When I arrived to pick up reserved car, I was told there were no cars available.
