I showed up. On time for my one day rental. They told me they had no cars but they would try to get me in a car some time today. No definite time, no alternatives. I waited an hour. Others had already waited two. I couldn't wait any more or I was going to miss my meetings. Had to cancel. Spent more than the rental amount on cabs getting there and back and was late for everything. One woman was helpful with a refund, but beyond that about as bad a service as you could possibly imagine.Reviewed 2023 Sep 21

It was honestly easy. I was very happy with this experience. Just getting to the Hertz location was difficult as I was not already in the airport. There was only the hiccup of no cars where I was told to choose a car from. I choose a Corolla that fit the car class I rented. Honestly a great experience overall.Reviewed 2023 Aug 14

There were no representatives to attend the customers , a long long of customers waiting to pick up car since 7:00 Am were still waiting to be serverd when I got there at 1100AM. Based on that just cancelled my reservation and ended up taking a cab.Reviewed 2023 Jul 27

Waited for over an hour. Staff sat on mobilephone texting, while he was waiting for some sort of conformation for another customer. He could easily helped me out while he waited. When it finally seemed like I was going to get help, an acquaintance of this man came walking in, he ended up helping her instead of me.Reviewed 2023 Jul 26

No cars available at scheduled pick up time at Newark, NJ airport. Line of angry customers waiting angry because there was no communication from the agents when a car would be available, agent had no idea who had gotten there first or if there was even enough cars for everyone. Once I finally got my car the line to check out of the gate was 20 cars long and no attendant in sight. Waited 30 minutes to get out of the lot. When returning the car at BWI airport I requested a receipt from the agent and he refused, he said he would email the receipt but never did and I still have not received it.Reviewed 2023 Jul 22

Be carful to accept upgrade, front desk will pass you with large amounts without clear knowledge of you. Then when you realised that you pay 3 times what you supposed to pay they will respond to you: you have Signed.. disappointed, but it is your faults not read before pick pen!Reviewed 2023 Apr 14

Newark International Airport is no sparkling new facility. The rental car locations require using the airport train system, and signage to find it isn't all that visible. The Hertz location there pretty much matches the whole airport itself, but considering we booked last-minute, arrived late, and very late at night, the counter agent was pleasant and helpful, making our experience as good as it could be. 👍Reviewed 2023 Apr 05
