They called at 7:30 AM letting me know the vehicle the vehicle was not available and probably wouldn't be. Made it made it sound like I wasn't going to get a vehicle at all. When I got to their office they got me into a different vehicle but then charge me an extra $10 A-day. Makes me feel like it was a bit of "Bait and switch". They did not have the car I reserved so I had to accept a Kia, which I hate. The front drivers wheel had an obvious wheel bearing problem and wobbled for the entire trip.Reviewed 2022 May 10

I messed up booking. I had the in town address and needed the airport. That’s on me. However, Hertz employees are not given the ability to change things. I had to call the 800 number, only to find out they charge a 5% fee to use that service. So I hung up and downloaded the app. Their app then wouldn’t let me change my reservation. Ended up taking an Uber into town for my original reservation. That place was a dump. Staff was extremely unprofessional, moved increasingly slowly and then the car I got was still pretty dirty even after they did a quick clean. When I returned the car there was nobody to check it in so I could get a receipt for my expense report. I still don’t have the emailed info they promised. If you’re looking to rent a car, go National. I always rent there and will never doubt them again.Reviewed 2022 Mar 04

I actually never ended up getting a rental because the vehicle I reserved they didn’t actually have at the time I scheduled the pickup. That happens sometimes so I wasn’t too upset about that, but I had bought insurance for the vehicle which had to be paid at the time of the reservation but then I canceled my reservation once I found out they wouldn’t have the kind of vehicle I was looking for and I was never reimbursed for the insurance!Reviewed 2022 Feb 24

First the good news...the staff was friendly, the interior of the car was clean. The bad news...it took 1-1/2 hours to pick up the car. I was told to vacuum the car before returning it. That's something I never heard before! The exterior of the car was not clean. Bugs all over the front . And the car had some damage to the front bumper and radar sensor. I didn't notice this damage when I picked up the car. When I returned it, they were very good to take my word for it that the damage was there when I picked it up. Despite the staff being friendly, this is not an efficiently run location. I would not recommend, especially if you are in a hurry!Reviewed 2021 Sep 14

There was no indication when I booked that I could not leave my car at the rental place so I had to spend significant time finding a place to park my car including having someone come and pick me up so they could take me back to the car rental pick up. When I tried to cancel my reservation so I could just drive my own car — this was for business, both Priceline who I booked the car through and hertz refused to refund me. The “maintenance required, return car to dealership light” came on after 20 minutes in the first car they gave me, requiring me to turn around and drive back to the rental place for another car. They told me not to worry about it and I had to insist on taking a different car, because had something gone wrong I would have been responsible. Two cars later, I was finally on the road in a vehicle that smelled like smoke and only had half a tank of gas. I was at the Hertz rental place for three hours before I got out of town. Overall, the value of this rental vehicle was great, allowing us to transport equipment and supplies over many miles for very little money. The van was spacious & comfortable and drove very well. The only concerns worth noting were: 1) the lock/unlock functions were not set correctly when using the buttons the key and 2) it appeared as if someone had sprayed the entire interior floor (passenger compartment and cargo area)with an oily substance (probably ArmorAll,) which made the floor extremely slippery and treacherous while loading the vehicle or getting in and out.Reviewed 2021 Jul 27
