We reserved and paid for our car months in advance. But when we landed and after waiting in a long line, we were told they had no cars and they couldn't even give us an estimate as to when they would get cars. We called customer service and they found a car available in a nearby location but wanted to charge us 3 times the amount we already paid. I can understand if it's a bit busy sometimes, but it would be nice if Hertz could at least make an effort to make things right. They didn't seem to think they had an obligation to honor their contract. A few hours later, we did eventually get a car, but this was very stressful as we didn't know if we would get one at all and our destination was far from the airport. Another thing I didn't like is that it looks like Hertz gouges its customers on toll "convenience" fees.Reviewed 2023 Oct 17

Pros:Nothing. Car was paid for but no car was available on the same day I was planning on getting it. Terrible experience. And to put the icing on the cake, I've been charged for the car and insurance that Hertz did not deliver.Cons:When I pay for a car and insurance in advance, I expect there to be a car for me. Pros:Nothing.Cons:First, the location was not at the airport. In some ways, that was good because I went to the airport counter first. What I found out is that the location where I was supposed to pick-up the car closed at noon, which is when I had scheduled my pick-up. So, I would have been very upset had I gone there. On top of that, I had to pay Hertz for another car, as they cannot accept prepayment to Kayak. I want my money back!Reviewed 2020 Nov 03

Pros:Staff was helpful and nice. Let me pick up the car an hour early so I could get a head start on my day! Thanks guys!Cons:Verification of drop off. The key had to be left in a drop box, which is handy. But there’s no way to verify what time or by whom the keys were dropped off. To clear me of any liability of the car sitting in the lot while the store is unattended, it would be helpful to have some sort of verification process, an attendant would be nice but not necessary. Cons:When we picked up the car we did a walk around but missed the broken taillight. We asked if someone needed to check off we did that and they said no. When we got in the car and was several several miles down the road we turned on the air conditioner and it smelled so bad of cigarette smoke. The day before we turned in the car my husband was filling up the car and noticed that one of the tires had cord showing. We returned the car and they took a little bit off the balance but they never said sorry or even addressed the fact what happened.Reviewed 2020 Oct 21

Pros:There was nothing to like. I arrived at the location only to be told there were no cars available. They informed me third party vendors do not have an accurate count of their inventory. I went to a second location and again no cars were available.Cons:Call the actual company a few days before your rental day. We ended up driving our own vehicle putting all those miles on our car because the event was important and we could not miss it. Hertz did not care about us or what we were missing because they did not provide a car for us. Actually the manager told me that making a reservation for a car does not mean we will get a car. I have been renting cars for years and this is the first time I have had such a terrible experience.Reviewed 2020 Oct 20

Pros:I called to see if I could pick up my SUV rental early and the staff said nothing would be available for early pick up and that I would not have a rental at all. I called national customer service who assured me I would have an SUV that met my needs. When I arrived, they said nothing was available and seemed clueless on whether I could get an SUV at the airport. I had to go to the lot myself and find a KIA Sorrento that had just been returned to get my rental in advance of my trip. Energy level of staff low.Cons:Problem solving skills. I wondered if I could go to the airport and get a rental if they didn't have one and they seemed clueless on that. Fortunately a return came in and saved the day. I don't know if I will rent from this location again. It is convenient to where I live and I got a great value but this was not a good experience.Reviewed 2020 Oct 19

Cons:Not only was a charge for the insurance on the car but I never got a vehicle in the first place. Kayak information is not up to date on this location as not only did they have no cars available on site after I book but they do not allow same day pick up.
