When staying at the NH Madrid Nacional hotel, you will be in a privileged location on Paseo del Prado and steps away from Madrid’s Art Triangle. The Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia museums are right by the hotel. The 1920s building was designed by the famous architect Modesto López Otero and is located across the street from the Atocha train station. This means it provides excellent links to everywhere in the city, including the airport. NH Madrid Nacional has 206 rooms with a choice of classic or contemporary designs. Each features sleek wooden floors and free Wi-Fi. Some of the rooms come with views of the Atocha Plaza or the Botanical Gardens, while Superior rooms have Nespresso machines, among other extras. The room was a great layout with a sitting area downstairs from the beds. Restaurant/Bar were excellent. Hotel provided a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival. They have a free computer if you need the internet. They also provide a CD player in the room. Wish I purchased the CD of Spanish music. Would highly recommend this hotel.

It had sitting area at few steps donw form bedding area, with sofa and coffee table wtih freash rose in the vase, gave more relaxing space after sightseeing in busy town. Hotel gives upscale/rustic/cosy feeling all together. Front desk personnel,porters, and door men were all nice. Location is great for sigtseeing and dining. A bar next to hotel was nice to visit for small drink or tea at late night too.
