There wasn’t a person at the Payless pick up window. There wasn’t a sign saying go to Avis. I stood there wondering if someone was going to come to the counter, if I needed to call someone or what. Eventually someone at a different counter told me to go to Avis. Everything was excellent after that. The customer service was amazing to pick up and drop off process was very easy and simple.Reviewed 2022 Mar 20

Older car. Back-up camera didn’t work. Couldn’t call airport desk and kept getting a call center who couldn’t answer my question about early drop and said I couldn’t drop early but when I got to airport at 5am I was able to park it and a person was there in the garage who accepted it. Military cut my orders short and I wasn’t able to receive a pro-rated rental.Reviewed 2021 Nov 15

Pros:Staff was friendly when we got to them, but note that in San Antonio, Payless doesn't have their own staff. They use AVIS staff.Cons:The wait to get the vehicle was ridiculous, it was unclear at first that we had to go to the Avis counter because there was NO ONE at the Payless counter.Reviewed 2021 Apr 27

Cons:I reserved an economically efficient car because I own a truck and wanted to reduce gas mileage. When I picked up my car, they informed me that they didn’t have they type of car I reserved and gave me a truck. I informed them this was the whole reason I had reserved the car, was to save money.Reviewed 2019 Jul 22
