Originally booked this reservation for San Antonio International Airport but my reservation was somehow switched to a location in south San Antonio. Had to get a taxi to the other location and when I tried to make adjustments to the reservation, Hertz and Priceline would not make the change because I apparently pre-paid. The staff themselves were extremely friendly and the car was in great condition. My dissatisfaction is mainly due to the rental car pickup and the corporate customer service group.Reviewed 2022 Jul 11

The pick up and drop off was smooth, and I’m pleased with that aspect. My issue is with a company policy. My Delta flight got cancelled, so I rebooked my flight for the next day. I tried pushing the Hertz car rental reservation a day back as well. The hourly car rate went up since I had booked a few days before, so it was charging me $111 online. I thought no problem I’ll just call customer service, because there is no way this company is CHARGING ME to PICK UP THE VEHICLE A DAY LATER. Well the woman I spoke with seemed to understand that that doesn’t make sense, but insisted there was nothing she could do. I didn’t pursue further, but I was livid. Luckily I considered that you have 24 hours to pick up your car from the point you made the reservation. I had a 3 hour window to get my vehicle after the new flight landed. But I had to figure that into the equation, because the customer service lady never mentioned this policy to help me figure out how best to solve my problem. This company obviously doesn’t have your back. Essentially, when you move your reservation Hertz charges you full price for the new daily rates and THEN DISCOUNTS WHAT YOU ALREADY PAID. So even if you pick up the vehicle later, because your flight got cancelled entirely outside of your control, Hertz doesn’t seem to care and will charge you if their rates happened to go up. Even though they get their vehicle for longer. And make even more money. Meanwhile the customer is left out to dry. Why even ask for the flight number, Hertz, if it doesn’t change anything? Ridiculous. If you have the money book with Enterprise. If you don’t, avoid Hertz.Reviewed 2022 Jul 08

When we arrived at Hertz, they did not have the car we rented! We had to wait for them to find another in town. They said they knew there wasn't a large SUV available and 'thought' someone else called us!!! Luckily they found one, our trip might have been ruined.Reviewed 2022 Jun 17

i picked san antonio airport for my rental location then picked my car and paid in advanced. when i got to the hertz counter at the airport i was informed my car was 15 miles away at another location. when i asked at the counter the how this could happen they said that places like kayak and priceline will switch you to offsite locations without you knowing because the price is much lower so you will be enticed to rent from them. always triple check your reservation if you rent from these third party vendors and pay the extra for free cancelationReviewed 2022 Apr 12

The young woman at the check in counter was fabulous! Then I went upstairs. They were super condescending. When you get upstairs, you have to stand outside. I asked why I couldn't just go to the car as I had check in downstairs and the car space number was on my paperwork. That's just for gold card. Why? He didn't do anything but point me to my car. I had waited downstairs. I realize that Gold members can go straight to the car, but I had check in downstairs and had an assigned car. I waited for them to finish to point to the car that I could see. That's stupid and demeaning. What's the point? He and the other guy were super unfriendly and unhelpful. Nothing like what I would expect from the South. In Sacramento, there aren't clear instructions about where to take the car. The person who checks your car, should get off the phone and not make clients wait outside looking around for someone to help when there are no instructions anywhere. Worse rental car experience ever. Expected more from a superior type rental car agency. Going back to Avis or Enterprise. More for less.Reviewed 2022 Apr 11

You site should be current on airport policies and requirements. I wasn't able to rent the car, I was rudely denied by the woman at the counter bc according to her the airport has a policy that doesn't accept my CC at all. Which is BULLSHIT!Reviewed 2022 Mar 09

I reserved online thru this website and got a confirmation # and a pick up. I had to call a family member to come pick up my son and i, so we could pick up the car. We drove 20minutes to the other side of San Antonio to the location they choose. I go into the office and no one is there and no one comes out for 5mins after i knocked on back door and called loudly for help. When a guy finally comes out, he says "pick up", i say "yes" and he starts to explain " i don't know why they keep sending customers here, we don't have any cars available". I said "you dont have any thinh available?" He said "no". So i walked out and was very upset. Luckily my sister knew of a place at airport to try and i was able to get in a car. I will not use kayak/priceline or Hertz again.Reviewed 2022 Mar 02
