Pros:Staff was friendly.Cons:A bait and switch was pulled on me, and I was very upset. I put in my search that I was looking for a car to pick up at SEATAC. Without me realizing it, the site switched to the downtown Seattle location for pickup (which I didn't realize since I don't know the address on either location). I went to SEATAC to get the car and was told I had to go downtown to get it. I had to call my son to pick me up and take me to downtown Seattle to get the car. I had requested a compact car, and by the time I got to Seattle, they told me the only car available was a Toyota 4Runner. This was a big problem since I have a leg problem that caused me great pain getting into the 4Runner. The customer service guy told me I could change it out when a sedan came in, but two days later I was told that all they have is SUV's because of the winter weather. I was finally able to drive back down to Seattle on Tuesday and trade for a RAV4 since it had a much lower profile and was easier to get in and out of with my sore leg. The customer service guy was extremely nice and set it up so that I could turn the car in at SEATAC when the rental was over. So overall, I had to get my son to take me to the Seattle location, and then I had to drive back down to get a smaller car since I was stuck with a huge 4Runner when I had requested a compact car. This was definitely not my best car rental experience!Reviewed 2021 Mar 08

Pros:Due to Covid Washington state closed. Meaning we couldn't fly in. Sixt wouldn't offer a refund without a $100 penalty on a $270 booking. Awful. Rung them 3 times. Emailed. Still nothing.Cons:A refund or a voucher for another dayReviewed 2020 Dec 01

Cons:Could have notified me prior to showing up about the updated hours of operation. I had a pick up time booked for 10pm but due to COVID the facility closed at 9pm and nothing I had referenced the new times. Therefore, when I went to pick up my rental I was unable to do so and I had to rent another vehicle from a different company that was actually open at the time.Reviewed 2020 Jul 14

Pros:NothingCons:We showed up having a rental car booked in advance and Sixt told us they had no cars and they were canceling our reservation. Because of this I had to book a different rental and it cost $170 per day for the rental car vs the $50 per day I had booked with sixt. Criminal!!!Reviewed 2020 Sep 05

Cons:When I reserved this vehicle I also paid in advance for the insurance. However when I rented the car at the counter, I was told the insurance was not sufficient protection. I don’t know if I was taken advantage of of not but I was frustrated with the added expense. Why offer insurance with the online rental if it’s not the proper coverage?Reviewed 2020 Jun 14

Pros:Monica and Nathan were excellent at Sixt at SeaTac. They really saved the day. I had arranged for a Premium SUV, and even called when making to reservations to be assured that I would receive one of 3 different cars depending on availability (the one I signed up for, or 2 potential alternative “similar” vehicles). Of course when I get to the rental desk, they magically do not have any of the 3. I was extremely aggravated, because Sixt has pulled this trick with me (and others) on several occasions. They get you committed to pay for a higher level of rental car, and then they don’t have it, and give you what they say is a “similar car”. The “similar car” is never similar, and usually could have been rented for less then what you agreed to. That’s why I called in the first place; to find out what the “similar cars” were. Of course they didn’t even have the similar cars that they told me they would have a replacements. I was not pleased. Monica arranged for another SUV, but it really was not on par with the premium SUV that I was promised and I had paid for. Added, this different SUV was too large for our in town accommodations. With the help of Monica and Nathan, I was able to arrange for another premium SUV that was comparable (but not originally offered by Sixt as a replacement).Cons:Sixt needs to stop playing shell games with their customers. If a certain vehicle is rented, they need to have that available. Always having to offer “similar” vehicles is a scam, and the customer always gets the shaft. This has happened 3 times now for me when dealing with Sixt. I will be reluctant to rent from Sixt again.Reviewed 2019 Oct 24

Cons:Confirmed via email that they would refund my rental if coronavirus related travel bans were announced. When Seattle's shelter-in-place extended past the rental and friends couldn't travel from Europe, the offer of a refund was reversed. 3 weeks of emailing with 5-10 day gaps from Sixt and I ended up with a voucher. Not much has gone well in my first Sixt rental. All things held equal, they're the last company I'd work with.Reviewed 2020 Apr 08
