Pros: All of the staff at the front desk and door were very friendly and helpful with directions. The location was very convenient to walk to Fenway Park. We also walked to the Copley Square area. There was a nearby subway stop to take us to the Freedom Trail area downtown. We felt very safe to walk the neighborhood at night. The room itself was quaint, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a walk-in marble shower. The towels were large and plush. It fit our needs very well.
Cons: We had no view out of our room. Looked out on an alley way and trash dumpster.

Pros: The Godfrey is very Modern, ideally located and the staff is super friendly. ( Except for the manager on duty when I checked in.)
Cons: Booked a two bedroom with a third party site,didn't have that option so I called up the hotel to see if there was an option. Was told to just mark in underspecial request and they would have it for me. When I checked in was given a small King size room and says that's what we booked. Told the manager who talked to us what happened and she says we never made the request. I pulled up the reservation on myphone and showed her the request, then she says its first come first serve basis. Only room left for the night was a $80 upgrade was a four class upgrade to a suite which was much bigger and had two TVs, so I took it, had no other option. Walked into the room and if that was a four class upgrade I would hate to see a regular room. Room was very small, only one TV. Don't get me wrong, hotel was very nice. Big screen TV,nice showers and towels, but felt very very very cheated. Along with the $52 for parking it was like spending $600 a night for a small room.......Really??

Pros: Location was outstanding. The interior of the hotel was impeccable - obviously new. The bed was probably the most luxurious of any hotel bed I have slept in. Bose Bluetooth speaker provided ambiance to the room. Continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise.

Pros: We stayed there 5 days after it opened, the rooms were clean, the lobby was nice, and posh. The beds were very comfortable and the room has Bluetooth Bose speakers as well as smart TVs.
Cons: They offer room service, but it's from the restaurant next door called Back Deck and the food wasn't just sub-par, it was bad. I ordered a burger that was burnt, it says it comes with french fries but it comes with dry, tasteless, potato wedges. We had our room upgraded to an executive suite, and it was still incredibly small. The staff is new and it is very obvious when you check in. They couldn't find where the card keys were or how to activate them which I would expect to be hotel staff 101. For as nice as the hotel is, there's a definitely a lack of professionalism in the lobby staff. And for whoever posted that there's a welcoming bar in the lobby, it hasn't even been opened yet, so....

Cons: First room far to loud (trucks unloading / loading 5 am); second room not so loud, but still noisy. Strange inventory: No hooks to hang coats etc. Only one shelf for shirts in the wardrobe, no other furniture witgh drawers (underware etc.) half of the wardrobe full of ironong board. No hooks to hang bathrobe and bigger towels in the bathroom. small selection at breakfast, every day the same. Loud music allready at breakfast. No bowls for yoghurt and esreal to mix, except small plastic cups. All breakfast cups, spoons etc. plastic (lots of vaste) hardly any tables to eat breakfast (sofas. lounge chairs etc.) Over all feeling like a grown up youth hostel

Pros: The hotel is super clean with without a doubt the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced.it is almost on the freedom trail and so close to the common it is in easy walk of Quincey market and both cheers pubs and all tourist stops are easily assessable by one of the tour bus at bottom of market .worth every penny

Pros: The location was excellent - just a short walk from Boston Commons, Copley Square, the Green and Orange T lines and commuter lines, and several great restaurants. The room was cozy and provided the necessary amenities and the bed was very comfortable. Heather the concierge went above and beyond our expectations in handling our requests and helping out with some post-Boston Marathon logistics. All of the staff from check-in to the housekeeping staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel displayed the charm of a historical building but with all of the necessary modern conveniences.
Cons: The elevators were a bit small and we had to pass one up at times when there were more than a couple of people waiting or when they were full. The lobby was a bit small and was a bit of a bottleneck during and after check-in. The Precinct bar had a good energy and good drink selection but the food and desserts were just okay (we did not get a chance to try the restaurant). We wish there was a pool or hot tub, which would have been perfect for post-race recovery.

Cons: We booked three rooms at this hotel because there were 6 of us and we all booked the same type of room but they tried giving one couple in our party a smaller room, but they did fix it so that was good. Also, the refrigerator in our room was broken, but they also came and fixed that right away.

Pros: The staff at the Hotel Commonwealth was friendly and accommodating. My Mom and I stayed one night in order to attend the Patriot's Victory Parade, and though we opted for a late checkout, we ended up getting stuck on the parade route. We called to let the hotel know, and they were very kind. Instead of charging us for half a day, they went and packed up our room for us, and held our luggage in the bell closet. The hotel was beautiful and the pillows and beds were some of the best I've ever slept in! Will definitely stay again.

Pros: My wife and I have stayed here before and have always enjoyed the experience. Last night was was another example of why we keep coming back. Upon checking in we received a complimentary upgrade to the Baseball Suite. The room was phenomenal. Corey at the front desk helped me get some friends a last minute reservation and could not have been more friendly. Overall a great stay.

When we asked for it upon arrival desk clerk told us a lot of people THINK it looks over Fenway but it doesn't. Even if it did there was construction obliterating any view. (Picture on Hotel.com misleading: hotel is on Beacon Street a block from Fenway Park). He gave us a "Kenmore" room which looked into alley-type street. Asked for refund of difference, told not done, but upgraded to suite. Satisfied with new room..

Pros: Arrived in Boston just in time for a heavy snowfall accompanied with a vicious wind. Being from snowy Colorado I was well aware of fast changing weather conditions. The Westin staff were also aware and took on the opportunity to show off their talent. These people know how to take care of customers with their great service, personalities and that always lovely humor. I'll be back!

Pros: I love the convenience, it is by far the most convenient hotel in Boston, it has a T stop in walking distance, it has a shaws right across the street, it has a connecting tunnel to shopping malls, has great bars and restaurants inside, and connected to the convention center as well as the sheraton where my friends were staying. the beds were so comfy. the pool and hot tub were well maintained especially considering the amount of people. The other thing I loved was the doormen they were amazing at helping me with my very heavy cumbersome bag and getting me a taxi I loved their manners!
Cons: When I first arrived to check in the person checking me in said I had two reservations, for two rooms, one paid for one not. I was pretty freaked when I heard this because they asked me to pay again at the desk. I contacted Kayak and according to the nice lady from the company she took care of everything and she did it was not on my bill. My complaint is that it shouldnt have been an issue to begin with, how stupid was the guy at the front desk? Kayak has been good to me with reservations why was that an issue? I actually dont understand how that would have even happened to begin with. My other complaint is even though I KNOW there were several conventions in town that weekend, I was really upset that my friends at the Sheraton got to have an extended check out till 2pm when I KNOW almost EVERY Marriott I have stayed at before has extended check out, the book says they offered it and the lady on the phone said they did NOT offer it specifically because of the convention. I don't see it as far if a hotel attached to the same convention center with the same amount of people could have it and I could not. Especially since the Marriott was a far nicer establishment the hotel room I stayed in and hotel in general was far better kept and polished then the Sheraton. So that was my only true disappointment. Especially since I did not have to check out, I was all set and would just leave. I understand as my mother used to work for Marriott that the maids have to come in and clean asap before new people check in around 4. But still, that just...was odd. In a hotel that large usually they have maids for a lot longer so, I guess I am just missing something.

Cons: We arrived early and hotel did accommodate our luggage which was great. However, the front desk promised to call when our room was ready - promising by four p.m. I didn't think 4 pm is the standard check in time. When it was after 5pm and we hadn't been contacted, we took a chance and went back to hotel. Had to stand in a long line to finally get our room. Wasn't a good start for what was to be a well deserved RELAXING vacation.

Cons: I was very upset with the fact that my room had no internet access other than paying $13 to $17 a day. I am sure when I made my reservation through Kayak that in the description of the room it read that internet access was included. I called the concierge desk but they were of no help to me. As nice as my stay was, I would not stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it. The elevators were a mess during my stay too. Everyone staying there was upset and complaining about the incredibly long wait times.

Pros: Can't argue with the location. We were able to walk inside the hotel to the mall across the bridge and right into the MBTA station without even walking outside! A plus for Boston winters! The Champions restaurant in the hotel is a little pricey for our tastes, but the food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. We frequently asked the staff in the lobby places to eat and how to get places, etc and each time we were met with a friendly face and knowledgeable information. We were able to even check out using our TV, which made our rushed exit so easy! Our room was also cleaned by ~10:30am (one day we went to breakfast and came back around ~10:30 and it was already done). People on this website also complained about the elevators being slow - we didn't experience that. We stayed on the 26th floor. There were elevators 1-27 and other ones that went to the higher floors which we didnt use, but didn't see people waiting around for them either.
Cons: There was an extremely faint electronic beeping noise that me and my husband heard every night falling asleep; nothing that prohibited us from falling asleep, but I will say that I noticed it each night as I was falling asleep. A little pricey, but warranted given the location; we also didn't pay for parking as we had a family member with a free garage spot at work across town.

Pros: While the exterior looks like it was conceived by an eastern bloc architect, the interior was very modern and hip. Great pool for the kids, rooms were rather large for a boutique hotel, bed and custom pillows were super comfortable. Rustic Kitchen the adjoining Italian restaurant was nice as weather was too cold and snowy to travel outside. On site parking was another nice feature and staff was friendly.

Pros: Even under construction, the Revere is a wonderful place to stay. Easy walking distance to Boston Common, Chinatown and the Theater District. The staff were wonderful. Especially Richard Pettiglio, the Concierge, who went well out of his way to make sure our stay was exceptional.
Cons: My ONLY dislikes were: way too little counter space in the bathroom, and that construction shut down half of the elevators during the peak checkout time. Folks with luggage were waiting for > 20 minutes for room in an elevator. The front desk staff did their best, however were definitely understaffed to handle the checkout volume.

The welcome from reception was friendly and professional, and the ice cool drinks we were offered on arrival were gratefully accepted. Shocking at a so-called 4-star hotel. 2) Air conditioners that are so loud it sounded like we had a 747 revving outside our room. We couldn't adjust the AC except to two temperatures: 68 and 74. 3) No mirror in the room. 4) No refrigerator or mini-bar in the room. 5) No blow dryer. 6) Waited 15 minutes for an elevator, then couldn't get on it was so crowded. 7) Rude, arrogant staff except for Serena, and the day GM, who tried to help but wasn't around to do much until it was too late. Don't stay here. There is so much better around!

The Keurig machine and K-cups in the room. The free daily newspapers in the lobby from four major newspapers. I liked the free late afternoon leomanade in the lobby. The restaurant has some excellent deals buck a shuck oysters from 4:30-:6:30 everyday. The $20 New England Lobster Meal that included; Corn on the cob, seafood chowder, a lobster and more. The restaurant had el fresco dining as well as a wall of windows on North Street right across from Faneuil Hall. The lobby was beautiful and very inviting. They even had a game section on the bookshelves for kids and families. The portico was very unique and mostly sheltered. The staff was very polite and helpful. The view from the rooms with the little balconies was a beautiful touch. The wall of windows in your room was wonderful. The late check out noon, the fact that they would store your bags in a locked room with a video monitor and would tagbyour bags they were holding like you were boarding a plane.

Pros: Stayed here twice. Both for location. Room rates are pricey but you are in the midst of downtown Boston. The in-house restaurant was serving a $20 lobster dinner special which was fantastic. Valet parking is easy and staff is very courteous. There is an extra charge for valet at $49. Again very pricey but if you are staying for a few days it evens out. The room was a standard king that was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for two. We were provided a mini fridg gratis. The usual outrageously overpriced mini bar is present along with bottled water priced at the level of alcohol. Several newspapers are available free.

We had 4 adults in one room since one of our sons lives in the building next door. We figured we would be at his apartment most of the time and wanted to save on rooms. There was plenty of room to move around even with all the luggage. The queen size beds were much appreciated by all and the large bathroom with separate tub and shower never felt crowded. We loved the back lawn area overlooking the water. We sat out there and had cocktails and played a game of corn hole/bags with our sons.

Pros: This was a much nicer hotel than I expected for the money I paid. We were traveling with two children and had no problems. Everyone, especially the concierge was friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Quincy Market and the Aquarium. The Italian North end is just a little further. Great overall experience.

Paid over $550 for one night and check in was after 4! Really truly disgusting. Told the front desk and all they said was “sorry by you pre paid for the room” We come into Boston frequently - will absolutely never consider this an option in the future.

Pros: The staff was wonderful, very polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The beds were quite comfortable. The room was nicely spacious. It is a lovely hotel conveniently located for the tourist.
Cons: The appointments were a little less than expected considering the expense/level of accommodation. Nothing major. The furniture was sub-par - the drawers didn't close well, the closet door light weight. The phone lines did not work. There was on-going remodeling work to which the trouble with the phones might be attributed however the issue was not resolved within our four night stay.

Pros: There are so many choices of hotels in Boston, but this hotel is unique and definitely luxury. They give 5 star service and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. We met up with old friends in Boston and we all stayed the the Liberty, we had an amazing time! Also it was great to be able to come back to the hotel after dinner and the bar scene at the hotel was great.

Overall, the hotel is extremely outdated, struggled to control the temperature in the room and the walls were so thin we heard a screaming child all night. Images online are extremely deceiving and lead to a disappointing experience as a whole.

Pros: When we arrived the hotel was sold out and did not go or our "guaranteed reservation" for a double room. We were instead offered a full size bed and a cot for the same rate even though the room sells for $50 less. Spent most of our night on the phone with Kayak who didn't care. Says it's non refundable yet how they can say it's a guaranteed reservation when clearly it's a maybe!
Cons: Horrible customer service by hotel manager and kayak. Hotel didn't offer to call around or find other accommodations for us.

Pros: Great location because it's across the street from my corp office. Was clean. As a general rule, I usually enjoy this hotel, stay here often.
Cons: 1. They couldn't find my reservation when I checked in. I then said that I booked on Kayak.com. They kept looking so I had to find the reservation online and, turns out, the reservation was made through Booking.com. Only then could they find my reservation. Desk clerk seemed like he was on Prozac. Also, I booked a Standard room and I'm pretty sure I got a Petite room because it was about the size of my walk-in closet at home.

Pros: Although small, the room was comfortable and the shower quite lovely. Plenty of hot water in the morning. A blizzard was expected so I decided to check out a day early, and this was hassle free. I did not ask for the name of the person who helped me with the checkout, but she was very polite and extremely helpful. The door man and valet folks were quick to bring my car and wish me a safe journey. Overall a very pleasant stay and I was able to accomplish that which I was in town for.
Cons: I found sleep very difficult due to the noise level throughout the first night of my stay, which was a Tuesday. Many drunk people coming to rooms late very loud in the hallway and then one couple in the room next to mine arguing until approximately 4am.

Cons: Exorbitant cost for basic lodging. Why this place costs the same per night as the harbor hotels I do not know...I guess they jack up the rate when there are games across the street. TV kept stuttering so every 5th word or so you'd miss. Now that I know the area, I will likely not choose this place again. Bars everywhere, loud people well into the night, garbage all over the streets, broken elevator. etc..

Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. We saw a show at the TD Garden, two minute walk! Our room was clean- nice walk-in closet, kitchen area with microwave and sink & fridge- close to restaurants. Nice breakfast included. And the valet service made it so easy to get in and out. Going to see Neil Diamond at the TD Garden was awesome, reflecting on the trip we all agreed that the friendly, visible, accomodating hotel staff made the trip even better.
Located in Back Bay, this historic hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Newbury Street, Boston Public Garden and Boston Common. Copley Place and Hynes Convention Center are also within 1 mi (2 km). Arlington Station is only a 2-minute walk and Boylston Station is 8 minutes.

Pros: The location of this hotel is wonderful, as is the antiquity. The rooms are small, but I expect that in cities and I usually gravitate to boutique hotels so I am fine with the size. The valet parking staff was actually the most outstanding of all the staff we encompassed. Outstanding actually. The bed was much more comfortable than I thought it would be.
Cons: It's dirty. I went to plug in a cord and there was a good 1/4 inch of dust along all the base boards. Yuck! The bathroom also was just not clean. Wall paper was peeling up from the wall in a couple of places - seriously have maintenance go around with some glue. There was scaffolding left outside our window on the 5th floor - unsafe and most unattractive not to mention the worker standing on it at 8:00am. The front desk never mentioned it when we checked in, if they had I probably would have asked for a different room. It was also the first time I had to pay for internet in a hotel in Boston. If this room had been half the price I paid I would have the same view point, but wouldn't be so annoyed. I seem to get more annoyed when I think about it.

Pros: Very good location, right next to the Arlington t-stop so was easy to get everywhere off the T. Also was walking distance from the library and newbury street, which were nice to visit. The staff was very friendly, though, and were accommodating with being under 21 (parent just had to sign and send in a form so we could stay there)

Also no mini-fridge so we could not bring home leftovers for later, not that big of a deal but would have been a nice addition. Bathroom seemed decently sized but shower was quite small (thankfully we are both small or we would have been banging our elbows against the walls). Also, water ended up getting all over the bathroom floor because it had no where to go in the shower.

Also a host of dining options in the neighborhood. Rooms were updated but on the smaller side for the price paid. All the staff was courteous and helpful, including everyone.

I suffered a significant injury halfway through my stay in Boston, and the hotel staff was extremely understanding. From a fold-up bed, to wheelchair accommodation, to flagging a cab on my behalf, the folks at the Plaza exemplified the reasons why I've quickly grown fond of Boston. Pros: Pictures online were nothing like the actual rooms. They're renovating the entire place for March 2015 so it looks like it will be nice then, but the rooms weren't nice at all now. Walls are very thin do you could hear conversations in other rooms (not to mention the bathroom). Fire alarm went off at 6:30 am too and had I not been up there is no way we would've heard it.
