Boston hotels near Orpheum Theater

Cons: Wedding music was loud & heard on the 6th floor. You should have better toilet paper & kleenex.

Cons: I don't have any criticisms of this hotel!

Cons: I thought the rooms were small especially for a family of four.

Cons: The pool was closed for renovations and we were not informed in advance. Had we known, we would have booked our stay at another hotel for our getaway

Cons: We had three friends stay in two double beds. When I booked it I couldn't find 2 queen beds. Two doubles were a little small, but they were comfortable.

Cons: Parking for hotel guests should be free or lot cheaper

Cons: Room had a strange layout, was very dark. Only had 1 window to an inner courtyard, very dark.

Cons: TV program transmission quality was spotty. Glass shower screen led to wet bathroom floor and soaking bath mats after every shower. Ice machine hard to locate and not on every floor.

Cons: Booked a two bedroom with a third party site,didn't have that option so I called up the hotel to see if there was an option. Was told to just mark in underspecial request and they would have it for me. When I checked in was given a small King size room and says that's what we booked. Told the manager who talked to us what happened and she says we never made the request. I pulled up the reservation on myphone and showed her the request, then she says its first come first serve basis. Only room left for the night was a $80 upgrade was a four class upgrade to a suite which was much bigger and had two TVs, so I took it, had no other option. Walked into the room and if that was a four class upgrade I would hate to see a regular room. Room was very small, only one TV. Don't get me wrong, hotel was very nice. Big screen TV,nice showers and towels, but felt very very very cheated. Along with the $52 for parking it was like spending $600 a night for a small room.......Really??

Cons: Room was a fairly small. Dresser in the hall made for tight passage between the bedroom and the bathroom.

Cons: They offer room service, but it's from the restaurant next door called Back Deck and the food wasn't just sub-par, it was bad. I ordered a burger that was burnt, it says it comes with french fries but it comes with dry, tasteless, potato wedges. We had our room upgraded to an executive suite, and it was still incredibly small. The staff is new and it is very obvious when you check in. They couldn't find where the card keys were or how to activate them which I would expect to be hotel staff 101. For as nice as the hotel is, there's a definitely a lack of professionalism in the lobby staff. And for whoever posted that there's a welcoming bar in the lobby, it hasn't even been opened yet, so....

Cons: First room far to loud (trucks unloading / loading 5 am); second room not so loud, but still noisy. Strange inventory: No hooks to hang coats etc. Only one shelf for shirts in the wardrobe, no other furniture witgh drawers (underware etc.) half of the wardrobe full of ironong board. No hooks to hang bathrobe and bigger towels in the bathroom. small selection at breakfast, every day the same. Loud music allready at breakfast. No bowls for yoghurt and esreal to mix, except small plastic cups. All breakfast cups, spoons etc. plastic (lots of vaste) hardly any tables to eat breakfast (sofas. lounge chairs etc.) Over all feeling like a grown up youth hostel

Cons: Waking up to a 45 degree room and being told that a refund was not possible. They did provide a space heater, but after a few hours it only raised the temperature to 49 degrees. No refund?! The Godfrey said I have to get the refund through the website. I expect a runaround.

Cons: Ice machine was broken, but these things happen.

Cons: Ok to be picky no restaurant mostly coffee shops and food concession s but this encourages you to go further and Boston is easy to get about .ok bar is limited but what they do offer in very good but it's no pub .old fashioned. is outstanding but only few bottled beers no draft

Cons: Menu options and Room Service could be better (and available 24/7), instead of limited until 11 pm

Cons: Jeez, the standard rooms are tiny with hard to access closet and no side table on one side of the bed. We were offered a larger room for another $40 and should have taken it!

Cons: Offsite Valet Parking was $52 per day, raising the effective room rate cost by that amount. Bed was too soft to be comfortable for my taste. No onsite restaurant

Cons: Booked at Hotel.com and reserved the Fenway Room which is shown on their website as looking over Fenway Park. When we asked for it upon arrival desk clerk told us a lot of people THINK it looks over Fenway but it doesn't. Even if it did there was construction obliterating any view. (Picture on Hotel.com misleading: hotel is on Beacon Street a block from Fenway Park). He gave us a "Kenmore" room which looked into alley-type street. Asked for refund of difference, told not done, but upgraded to suite. Satisfied with new room..

Cons: Issues with my prepaid credit card apparently they're not accepted. This should be noted somewhere when booking. I didn't have another credit card or enough cash. In the end it was worked out but it was unneeded stress. When checking out (645 am) we needed to wait for a bit. There was no staff at desk

Cons: Wifi was terrible. You couldn't even get high speed wireless in the lobby. You had to pay for it and even then it was spotty at best. For the money we paid for the room, reliable internet service is not too much to ask.

Cons: There is not a single thing I did not like about this hotel. It was wonderful!

Cons: When I first arrived to check in the person checking me in said I had two reservations, for two rooms, one paid for one not. I was pretty freaked when I heard this because they asked me to pay again at the desk. I contacted Kayak and according to the nice lady from the company she took care of everything and she did it was not on my bill. My complaint is that it shouldnt have been an issue to begin with, how stupid was the guy at the front desk? Kayak has been good to me with reservations why was that an issue? I actually dont understand how that would have even happened to begin with. My other complaint is even though I KNOW there were several conventions in town that weekend, I was really upset that my friends at the Sheraton got to have an extended check out till 2pm when I KNOW almost EVERY Marriott I have stayed at before has extended check out, the book says they offered it and the lady on the phone said they did NOT offer it specifically because of the convention. I don't see it as far if a hotel attached to the same convention center with the same amount of people could have it and I could not. Especially since the Marriott was a far nicer establishment the hotel room I stayed in and hotel in general was far better kept and polished then the Sheraton. So that was my only true disappointment. Especially since I did not have to check out, I was all set and would just leave. I understand as my mother used to work for Marriott that the maids have to come in and clean asap before new people check in around 4. But still, that just...was odd. In a hotel that large usually they have maids for a lot longer so, I guess I am just missing something.

Cons: We arrived early and hotel did accommodate our luggage which was great. However, the front desk promised to call when our room was ready - promising by four p.m. I didn't think 4 pm is the standard check in time. When it was after 5pm and we hadn't been contacted, we took a chance and went back to hotel. Had to stand in a long line to finally get our room. Wasn't a good start for what was to be a well deserved RELAXING vacation.

Cons: I was very upset with the fact that my room had no internet access other than paying $13 to $17 a day. I am sure when I made my reservation through Kayak that in the description of the room it read that internet access was included. I called the concierge desk but they were of no help to me. As nice as my stay was, I would not stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it. The elevators were a mess during my stay too. Everyone staying there was upset and complaining about the incredibly long wait times.

Cons: Most hotels I stay in offer water & have it randomly placed around the hotel. There was none to be found here; including the gym. When we attempted to use the vending machine to buy some, only took $1.@@ or coins. We only had larger bills.

Cons: The elevators took an abnormally long time to arrive and go down. It sounds like they're working on that, and then they will be perfect!

Cons: The elevators! All weekend, I waited longer for elevators that I could get on than I did waiting for trains in the "T". On Sunday, after waiting nearly 25 minutes for an elevator that wasn't already jam-packed, I had to carry my luggage down six flights of stairs to the meeting room level to use the escalators (which were out of service). All in, an experience I would expect at a hotel charging half what Marriott did for this stay.

Cons: I think the hotel feels too old.

Cons: There was an extremely faint electronic beeping noise that me and my husband heard every night falling asleep; nothing that prohibited us from falling asleep, but I will say that I noticed it each night as I was falling asleep. A little pricey, but warranted given the location; we also didn't pay for parking as we had a family member with a free garage spot at work across town.

Cons: difficult to adjust the temp in the room - trying to cool the room meant the AC was on full blast.

Cons: Room was a bit small, balcony was not a real balcony - very small step out balcony! A bit pricey for the size and amenities.

Cons: There was only Luke warm water in the shower and after walking around boston on a 10 degree night it really put a damper on our romantic get away !!

Cons: Air conditioning was loud, no in-room refrigerator, no vending machines, bed was a little too firm

Cons: Just a couple small things would be nice: more towel racks to hang towels in the bathroom and a refrigerator other than a completely full mini bar refrigerator with items for sale.

Cons: on the 3rd floor we heard EVERYTHING outside! (the club across the street, the trucks back up alarms) The bathroom door was a pocket door and was REALLY hard to close. The toilet was not screwed down all the way which caused it to wobble and make loud noises on the tile floor. We got a 'coupon' for the onsite restaurant. It had no exclusions listed although it is safe to assume alcohol would not be included..but neither were 'specials'...

Cons: Apparently the hotel is undergoing updates to its TV and wifi system. That's not a problem but there was no information provided at check in that it was happening. That is a problem. The TV acted up at start up and the wifi was cantankerous. Booting you off and causing you to sign in again and again. Quite slow also.

Cons: Charge for WiFi in room Do not ever touch mini bar. You will be charged

Cons: The wine list in the restaurant is extremely overpriced and unfortunately I was served a bottle of wine that had not been stored properly and had turned. The bartender didn't agree but had the manager bring me a new bottle. That bottle was better than the first but still not tasting quite right-but we kept it because it was too much of a hassle.

Cons: Hotel is under renovation in part, so there are inconveniences until completion early next spring. When we were there, some desk staff are "in training" and not exactly use to speaking in English (!). The door-staff/valets are very helpful.
