The car was filthy and not clean when I picked it up. It seemed heavily of smoke and gas fumes. The fee was astronomical and the representative would not change it to the government rate, even though I showed them the paperwork.Reviewed 2022 Oct 23

We made a reservation for a truck & made the rental request a week in advance. When we got there to pick up the vehicle, no trucks. They offered us a small SUV which would not fulfill our needs. They gave us no other options. If I had wanted a small SUV, I would have requested that from the options menu.Reviewed 2022 Sep 12

Picked up a Camry initially, but we knew within a few minutes we would have to return it. Strong tire vibration left us feeling unsafe for our upcoming road trip. Dealt with tired employees and a lot of back & forth before finally finding a good replacement. It took about 2 hours off our journey so we were off to a late start. Replacement car was just fine, but windshield wipers were so loud. Both cars could've been cleaned better. Drop off was okay but felt bad for stressed and overworked employee who handled it.Reviewed 2021 Jun 23

Pros:I liked the fact that I received a hybrid vehicle for my long trip. The gas savings were great.Cons:Both at pick up and drop off the door had a sign that the attendant would return in a few minutes. The car, when received was externally very dirty and had what looked like tape residue on some of the windows. This made inspection difficult, so much so that I missed a chip in the windshield thinking it was a dead bug. Luckily, it had already been reported. Additionally, I had reserved a mid-size car and received a compact. Since it was a hybrid and I was going on a long trip, I didn't complain, but I'm pretty sure that I over paid for a compact car.Reviewed 2019 Oct 22

Cons:It was not clear to me that there was an offsite Budget, who I actually rented from, and a onsite at the airport Budget. The man in charge was very helpful to honor what I had and made clear that it would be $5 more per day. Which was fine.Reviewed 2019 Sep 12

Pros:Returning the rental was easyCons:The cleaning of the car was a joke. This is the third car from budget that I’ve had where the staff just ran it through the car wash while the inside looked messy. Also, the billing is wrong.
