We stood in line for over 2 hours and then I'm the end were given a plug in hybrid car that had not been plugged in, had been smoked in which made my wife and kids nauseous, the car had been configured with weird and frustrating restrictions that wouldn't allow me to disable the incredibly intrusive and inaccurate parking sensors that beeped constantly, even when driving down the road at one point. Imagine the car yelling at you for being too close to every car passing you in the other lane. Turning the car in could not have been easier, everything else about this rental was absolutely terrible. I will never use budget again after thisReviewed 2024 Apr 18

This is the second time I have booked a Budget rental through Kayak / Expedia and Budget has had NO cars when I arrived. Everyone was pushed to the AVIS counter, of which I was 30th in line. After waiting over an hour and seeing little progress, I cancelled my reservation, rebooked with HERTZ, and had a car in 20 min. I paid extra to do so, but avoided a lot of frustration. I doubt I will book any rental car with Kayak in the future as this was the second terrible experience I had at BWI specifically.Reviewed 2024 Mar 28

Car was fine but wow the worst pick up experience ever. Waited forever in line with one person working. Took almost as long as my flight. The computer system was old and slow I had to run my credit card three times. When we finally went to exit no one was at the kiosk and we had to wait again until she came back to check us out.Reviewed 2024 Mar 25

The experience having the car was nice. When I first got to the desk to retrieve my rental. The person at the front stated that she was seeing two reservations. And that caused a mix up for over 15-20 minutes. But outside of that. It was a great experience.Reviewed 2024 Feb 08

Desk was closed upon arrival. Called customer service line and the non-english-speaking rep told me to return the next day during business hours. No attempt to remedy the situation was made, just a big "screw you, the desk is closed" when they let me make a reservation during those hours. They declined to honor online booking. Wanted me to take a rental at their counter price which is twice the price of my booking. Ultimately, realized that they were conning me into buying extras which jacked up the price but still used by online reservation.Reviewed 2023 Dec 13
