Steve in the Syracuse airport was excellent and that’s it. The car was clean and he was very helpful and understanding of our situation on how we were treated by the other location. However the my experience other than that was subpar to day the least. When I went to pick up the car at the West Geneses location Syracuse it was a disaster. Our reservation was canceled without reaching out to us and the car was rented to another family. When we tried to get an explanation we were told we weren’t there by 9am turned around gave us the phone number to corporate and said this is all I can do to help you. When we realized the family behind us turned the vehicle we asked to rent that one she said no your reservation was canceled and I had to go through the entire process again and didn’t help Zero with anything. When I called corporate it was the same pretty much being passed around and everyone really not trying. I was able to speak to someone who found us a vehicle at the airport location across town and no way of getting there. I had to find transportation to get us over there lost pretty much several hrs of my daughters graduation just trying to fix a problem that was created by you even after I had confirmation on my end. I can continue with plenty more . I hope someone from customer service at least tried to make this better somehow on how much stress they caused me and my family on this was supposed to be a joyous celebration and weekend.Reviewed 2022 May 19

I prepaid for this rental but then got charged $20 more than that amount. Just enough to notice but nor enough to waste time collecting. Just a bad experience and no more Budget/Avis. This never happens with Enterprise.Reviewed 2022 Apr 18

Travelocity confirmed my rental, but Avis was sold out of cars. This should not be allowed to happen!!! It's extremely unprofessional and a disservice to customers that Kayak and Travelocity are allowed to mislead customers in this fashion. Immediate quality control measures are needed to prevent this from taking place.Reviewed 2021 Sep 13

Pros:Syracuse staff was helpful, friendly, efficient.Cons:The check engine light came on while I was in NC, 700 miles away from home.Obviously I rented a car for reliability so I called, they told me to take it to local shop and trade it in. I went to 2 different locations and called the airport location. The only thing the staff would say is no cars were available. Which is fine, but there were no other options offered, no recommended plan of action. This is their car, there should have been more guidance. I drove the car back and it made it ok. Not knowing what the issue was or what could go wrong was a stress I did not need on this trip.Reviewed 2021 Apr 12

wrong pickup point but they still gave me great sePros:when I booked I thought the pickup point was at the Syracuse Airport, but was informed actually it was downtown Syracuse. But they took the timevto find a good value that theyhad there. So I was on the road quite quickly.Reviewed 2016 Sep 08
