The pickup process for Dollar is broken. They make reservations without having the cars to fill them. Every other company had no line, while Dollar had 15 people in line because they had no cars to rent. We waited an hour for a car to “be cleaned” and given to us. The employee was unapologetic and dressed in athletic shorts and a gray T-shirt while giving the impression that he didn’t care. Meanwhile, I returned the car 18 hours ago and I still haven’t seen a turn in receipt in my email. Pay the extra money and rent from someone else.Reviewed 2023 Jul 04

I reserved weeks ahead of time, but when I got there, thu said that they didn't have a car. They explained that they book many more reservations than they actually have cars for. They didn't seem to care about that policy negatively affecting travelers. I waited for two hours, and was eventually able to get a car. Dollar refused to rent me the car because I had a debit card. They had a policy document they showed me that clearly stated they would accept a debit card if the card carried a Visa or MC logo (it does), and I could provide proof of a return flight (I showed them my ticket). They still refused saying that is not what their policy means. Dollar had over rented their cars, so we had to wait 1/2 hour despite having a reservation. Once we were given a car, it severely smelled of cigarette smoke. We went into trade the car, and the woman working the front desk was very gracious and accommodating. Without her, this would be a 1 star review. She turned it around for us by providing us with a small upgrade and prompt service. She is worth five stars to dollar; whomever was checking cars prior to them being rented needs to do a more thorough job.Reviewed 2022 May 26
