Waited in line for, quite literally, an hour to pickup the rental car. All other rental car agencies had no line as they were quick to serve. Only Avis had a long line of frustrated customers. Despite requesting an SUV I was provided a pickup truck which was disappointing.

I only liked the vehicle...that was it. Waiting in line for 2 hours for a rental car was absurd. A second staff member finally came to help with a long waiting line, and after a couple minutes the first staff member left while there was still a long line. Altogether took way too long. On the return, my mileage was entered as if I took possession of the vehicle with 1 mile (not nearly possible consideringthe scuffs I pointed out upon taking possession). I was overcharged for mileage overage even though I drove approximately 120 miles in 3 days. I was charged $1,731.10 when I was quoted $310.79. I had submitted a dispute with Avis, and now after no results have disputed the charge with my credit card.
We reserved a car at the airport after our flight home was canceled and we chose to drive instead of wait 2 days for the next available flight. Hertz refused to honor the reservation because it wasn’t made at least 24 hours in advance. Thankfully Alamo was more understanding of the situation and rented us a car so we could drive home.

They did not have a car for me when I got to the airport. My flight was changed to a 10 pm arrival instead of 1200. I called Budget at midway and was assured I’d have a car. None was arrived when I arrived and their was no reassurance I would get one .

Not satisfactory experience . ( pretty sure that this review will go into a void) Cars were overbooked. The online reservations did not match the actual vehicle inventory. I was in line for over an hour to be seen. I rented an intermediate SUV, but they only had large pickup trucks. I took the offer. The check- in staff was professional and friendly given the circumstances. They provided a fuel credit due to the inconvenience. The pickup was too big for my needs. Difficult to maneuver. Many of the features that should be available on a large vehicle were not equipped or programmed, especially the parking technology. My car lacked wrap- around cameras to assist parking, proximity warnings when close to objects, or back up warnings. The back- up camera was imprecise. I had no functional trunk. My drop-off experience was poor. It was Easy to drop off. One agent was friendly and helpful. The other public- facing agents were uncaring or rude. My agent barely spoke to me and didn't ask basic questions about returning the vehicle. Offered no assistance. I also had bad experience with staff in preferred member area. Five minutes after returning car, I realized that I had missing items. The friendly return agent directed me to the desk agent. The desk agent was openly dismissive and rude to me . Suggested that that my reason for checking the car was not important. She was dismissive and didn't want to offer help. This is not an exaggeration. This experience makes me less likely to rent a vehicle from this vendor at that location.

My main issue was that when I was doing my search for a car I said I was picking it up and midnight and it let me pick this one, but the location was closed from 10pm to 7am, so I had to take an Uber to my hotel and come back in the morning for the car. I could have double checked the hours, but I assumed that since I entered the time it would have given me a heads up.

Upcharged to a wild degree for tolls and didn’t make it clear at all. As someone from out of town who is not used to Chicago toll roads, they made it almost impossible to avoid being charged way too much. Added on close to $100 to our bill for maybe $5 worth of tolls. Insane. The car also smelled a little like smoke and had a number of scratches and scuffs. The rental checkout and return area was a small, seedy kiosk inside the parking garage instead of at the desk with the other more well-known brands. I would not rent from this company again—despite the lower price, they’ll find a way to charge you extra anyway. At least they didn’t try to scam us out of any money for the scuffs and scratches that were already there, so that’s something.
I was never able to pick up a vehicle. When I arrived, I was told they only had cars available for people with reservations. I showed them my confirmation number from Kayak and was told they only had cars for people who booked direct. It was after midnight and the other rental agencies were closed, so I went without a car until the following morning. Very disappointing experience.
