Cons:
The car could've been cleaner. The inside had sand on the seats and floor. The cars rims were covered in mud and sand.. overall the car served it's purpose but it could've been cleaner.8.0 Very good

Cons:
Very upset to book a reservation through Kayak for 5PM pickup, only to arrive at the location at 5:15 and find it closed. Kayak needs to put in a pop up flag about operating hours when booking. Called customer service and while the woman was very nice on the phone, she could not find a single replacement car available in all of Manhattan or JFK, nor would they allow me to pick up my reserved car the following morning because it had already been released back into inventory and taken by someone else. They ended up cancelling my reservation and I was stuck without a car and ended up having to pay double with another agency.10.0 Wonderful

Pickup — staff was both rude and incompetent. When picking up, I asked to change my dropoff date. After huffing about it, the staff person told me the new price... but conveniently forgot to update the reservation because I was later charged an early return fee. So then I obviously had to call to get it reversed — which no one likes wasting their time doing. Why couldn’t this have been simple and seamless, as usual? Only one reason - the staff. Dropoff — again, the staff person was exceptionally rude. She asked me to get in line when I was only literally mentioning that I was dropping off. Not EVERYONE is trying to cut in line all the time! Sometimes we just don’t want to wait for 6 other people to get helped for a 1 second FYI!2.0 Poor

Overall a huge waste of time. Very inefficient business. Long wait. Unfriendly, unhelpful staff (Evelyn @ 22nd Street). Car was not ready - they quickly cleaned it when we arrived. Rear left blinker was not working. Attitude when we asked to change cars given it was raining and would soon be dark out. Customer service was not helpful when we called.10.0 Wonderful

A lot of nickel and dimeing going on when picking up the car. I already bought insurance online, but they tried to sell me another insurance? Over $20 to use the E-ZPass? $10/gal for gas seems absurd, I refuelled myself.Avis

It would be better if this Avis had the cars they promised. The line was down the block of customers like me that reserved and pIs for cars that were not available. We had to wait for up to 2 hours for reserved cars to be brought from other location. Why don’t they bring the cars they know they have reserved to le location before their customers arrive? The inside of the car was dirty when I received it, very sad in any situation but in a pandemic it could be deadly. I felt so inclined that I needed to pull over, purchase my own disinfectant, and clean the inside of the car.
