I rented through a third party, which was not clearly marked. Rentalcars.com. Our flight was cancelled due to torrential rains in New York City. We had to cancel our trip. Nevertheless, Rentalcars.com charged us the full amount. No recourse through Thrifty. I will think twice before using Kayak again,Reviewed 2023 Oct 02

Pros:The drop off went fine. When I told the agent that we turned the car into about our horrible experience picking up the car, he deducted $10 off of the remaining fees.Cons:The pick up was the worst we have ever experienced. From the time that we arrived at the Thrifty counter until we were given the car, it was almost an hour. While we did receive a free upgrade, the wait was totally unacceptable. They gave us a coupon for 15% off of our NEXT Thrifty rental which probably should have just applied to the current rental.Reviewed 2021 May 24

Cons:Kayak is terrible and the price is misleading. I owed additional fees at the airport. I could have rented for cheaper without using kayak. Instead i got stuck with the „managers choice“ which ended up being a car that was scratched to hell. It was easily the worst car I’ve ever rented and I always pick the cheapest option so it’s not like the competition is tough. Never againReviewed 2020 Jan 31

Pros:Pickup and drop-off was very easy.Cons:The only blip we had was trying to figure out how to open the trunk of the car. I didn’t see anyone near the car to ask. As it was raining, we threw suitcases in the back seat and watched a You Tube video to learn how to open it. Knowing that it did not work like any other normal car, some comments may have been helpful.Reviewed 2020 Jan 27
