I actually got really messed up because I kept putting in tbt airport code ‘PWM’ that works everywhere but on your site, so when I had to type in Portland manually, Portland, Oregon came up and my car was booked for Portland Oregon instead of Maine. So I would like to suggest that people have the additional ability to search via airport codes. The guy at the counter said it happens A LOT. Such a bummer since Portland Maine was the first Portland in America. And Portland Oregon doesn’t even have a port. :-pReviewed 2022 Jan 01

Better maintenance on vehicle needed. Wipers needed replacement and vehicle should be rented in cleaner condition . Especially where it rains and snows so much. Other than vehicle was as advertised.Reviewed 2021 Oct 25

Wanted a Cadillac but they gave me a Beemer instead. It was a great Car. Smooth and comfortable...not to mention looked sporty and luxurious! I've rented from several other companies and Alamo always makes my rental experience incredible and amazing!Reviewed 2021 Aug 29

Loved the help for my disability friend!!! Each location there were accommodations for her and staff was amazing. My only issue is that I was given a larger vehicle as an upgrade but without being asked. The upgrade was too big for my comfortability and I had to ask for my original selection which luckily they had available.Reviewed 2021 Jul 18

Pros:Never rent with this company.Cons:Don't waste your time renting from Alamo. I reserved my car 5 months in advance. Two days before my pick up, they canceled my reservation without any communication what so ever, no call, no email, no text. I only found out my reservation was canceled because I called to see if I could pick up earlier. When I called, they first confirmed my reservation and then put me on hold. When the operator returned he then let me know my reservation was canceled, why I asked why, he said " I can't tell you why, there were no noteds put in". I then, asked why I wasn't notified that my reservation had been canceled, he stated he didn't know and couldn't tell me why. He then tried to find me a car at one of their companies and they were completely sold out. The cheapest rental he could find me was $1,300 dollars from a rental company I had never heard of. I spent hours looking for a rental two days before my trip and finally found one through Hertz 30 miles from the airport. Although I had to spend more money to shuttle to and from Hertz, I had a pleasant experience with them. Long, story short, if you are looking for a company that doesn't value their customers, rent from Alamo.Reviewed 2021 Jun 30

Cons:Charged me 100 dollars for one day barely drove the vehicle and they still charged extra for less than one tick of gas being gone when it was barely at 7/8 on the full side.Reviewed 2021 Feb 05
