In the middle of processing my rental at the Avis desk, when I was picking up the car, the Avis computer went down. It ended up that they charged on my credit card twice for the car rental (but only once for the $200 security deposit). When I tried calling their billing, they could not find my rental and then they told me to call the Reno Airport Avis office, but the number they gave me only got me back to the same corporate automatic phone tree. Finally, there customer service office told me that it should work out when I returned the car. I returned the car yesterday morning as scheduled, but I still have not received the final bill.Reviewed 2026 Mar 11

I couldn't add my wizard number because I booked through Qeeq. So even though I could check in online for the car, I had to wait an hour in line to pick it up. Only one counterperson was on duty, and even once I got through that, the car wasn't available for another 20 minutes.Reviewed 2025 Aug 18

My drop off was at Circus Circus in Las Vegas. I was not given the exact location to where I would be park in the car and dropping off keys.. there is no indication that it should be dropped off in the second garage on the fifth level. I wasted about an hour and a half trying to figure it out, I called Avis customer service, and the guy was clueless, he suggested I just park it and leave the keys inside the car.Reviewed 2025 Jun 23

I wasn't able to pick up the car because it looked like they had run out. Stood in line for three hours and maybe 10 people in the main line up were given cars. It looked like they were giving cars as people brought them back since people would wait for up to 30 minutes with an agent before getting keys. Pretty brutal so I just left and borrowed a friends car thankfully but now its very difficult to get my money back...Reviewed 2024 Jul 16

The wait for the car was 30 minutes. There were three employees working at one point and one employee disappeared into the office never to be seen again. Keys to the car were given to me and we had to walk to the garage and find our car. The car was covered in pollen and dirt on the outside. Inside was okay. No walk through and I had to take pictures of various dings, scratches, and a crack in the windshield for my benefit if Avis tries to come at me for this damage.Reviewed 2024 Jun 13
