Pros: Alamo customer service addressed my concerns that the employees, including a manager, entirely and rudely dismissed and supplied me with a voucher to be used on a future airport rental.Cons: I was misinformed twice about the requirements to rent a vehicle, over the phone, then in person. This cost me precious time, undue effort and capitol on the most important day of my life. The model that I reserved was not available and the manager of the location tried to casually downgrade my luxury reservation to accommodate what inventory was available instead of locating my reserved vehicle and the employee who went to find it. The vehicle was an suv and not a sedan, as reserved, which made our disabled occupants struggle entering and exiting. The vehicle was rushed through the cleaning process while we waited and was washed on the exterior and brought to us wet. The interior was filthy and had no cleaning done whatsoever, this was a major concern to us during this global pandemic as we were informed that all vehicles underwent an extensive disinfection and cleaning process. Passengers of ours were HIGH RISK candidates for Covid 19 and it took me an extra half an hour to clean and disinfect the vehicle to an acceptable standard, a risk I was forced to take, along with more of my precious time on this day. The associate who presented our vehicle to us gave us no walk around or paperwork to assess prior damage, of which there was some, and literally handed me the paperwork, said "Have a good one" then ran away, back to his station. My associate and I were shocked by the experience and had no option after an hour and a half of this process but to take the vehicle and be on our way. The entire time we were treated like second class customers based on the fact that we used a third party service to reserve the vehicle. My reservation was for noon and we did not leave the lot until 1:30, though our pickup time was entered as one o'clock. I have rented from Alamo many times and have never experienced such a hectic, confused, disgusting, unsettling, overpriced and unprofessional occurrence such as this.

Aaron really needs to find a new occupation were he does not deal with the public. He was rude and nasty to my children And rude to me and I will never rent from Alamo again

Pros: Staff behaved dismissively, had no availability and in two bookings I still ended up with no rental. Drove to 2nd location, smugly said can not help. Didn't have time to call to alert. Was aloof that I'd driven all the way there. No remediesCons: Human kindness, respect for my time, money, own the problem, help solve. 1st instance, could have made pricing same for me as renter - co location pay difference for airport to honor reservation not pass cost to customer. Deceptively set expectations.

Pros: The staff was friendly and the process was seamless. Because we arrived early, we had a nice selection of cars from which to choose for our road trip adventure. Staff wore masks, and there was limited contact necessary for the transaction.Cons: We had been told that the additional insurance policy we had purchased would not cover one of the vehicles available for rental, and it happened to be a vehicle we were interested in taking on our trip. The reason we were told that the policy wouldn't cover that vehicle is because it was considered a "luxury" vehicle. Upon our return to Enterprise, we were told by a different associate that this was not true and that all the vehicles would be covered under the additional insurance policy we had purchased. This of course, disheartened us, as we would have preferred this vehicle. It seems as if the staff is not fully clear on the insurance guidelines. Regardless, we still enjoyed the vehicle with which we ended up.

Pros: Nothing.Cons: This was the first and only time I will ever rent from SIXT! I've been told to pay the extra with the more expensive rental companies, and now I see why! I'm listing my experiences below in hopes of deterring anyone thinking of renting from SIXT themselves! 1 - When I arrived to pick up the car there were two others in front of me, and two employees. Even so, it took 45 minutes for me to get my car. One of the employees literally walked past everyone in line while on his phone and proceeded to ignore everyone while continuing to sit at the front desk, still playing on his phone. 2 - I rented an intermediate class vehicle, and when it was FINALLY my turn was told that I would be receiving a Kia Forte. I told the employee that I had reserved an intermediate class, and she reassured me that the Kia Forte was indeed intermediate, when a quick Google search immediately shows that it's compact. 3 - The vehicle smelled like a rolling ash trey. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke and was never told that I would be receiving a smoke-friendly vehicle, so my stomach was in knots whenever I was in the vehicle due to the extremely strong smell. 4 - When driving the vehicle I noticed that it pulled very strongly to the right side. I thought that this was due to alignment issues, which clearly should've been addressed, however I later discovered that ALL of the tires were greatly in need of air and that the right, back tire was 10 LBS lower than the others!!! I would think that this would be standard in checking before renting out the vehicle, and something that is a MASSIVE safety hazard if left unchecked!!! 5 - The vehicle was also completely out of wiper fluid, which was also a standard, very easy fix but was another safety hazard. I get that it's a budget rental car company, but you seriously can't check to see if your cars have wiper fluid?!?! 6 - I had scheduled to return the car at 6:00pm on a Sunday, and discovered upon pick-up that the SIXT office closed at 2:00pm. They instructed me to park the vehicle in one of their marked spots at the hotel where the office was located and provide the keys to the hotel front desk. Upon arriving at the hotel ALL marked spots were full, and I had to circle the parking lot multiple times before an unmarked spot became available. Again, an easy fix for the company to provide enough spots for the amount of returned vehicles that day, but due to lack of common sense resulted in a headache for the customer. I have never had such a negative experience when renting a car, and will NEVER rent from SIXT again.

Pros: Drop off was easy, but no receipt was available. I was told that my receipt would have to be emailed. This was a concern to me because the rental company required a security deposit for the vehicle. With no receipt, I have no idea what they're charging me at drop off.Cons: I had several issues. First of all, I have a business traveler. I have traveled for many many years and used rental agencies around the world. This was by far my worst experience. 1. I called Sixt a few days before my scheduled pickup date and asked if I could pick up the vehicle a day earlier. They said yes, the vehicle was available, but I would be billed under a different rate. The new rate was $400 more. So rather than simply extend the existing rate for one day, Sixt opted to let the vehicle sit idle. Bad business plan. 2. On the morning of my arrival to pick up the vehicle, the DFW rental office was closed, despite posted hours of 0800 AM. I sat and waited for 30 minutes before someone came in. That's extremely unprofessional. 3. The vehicle I reserved was not available when I showed up at the rental office. I was told it was still being serviced, and I was welcome to wait. Yet the vehicle type I asked for was clearly in the parking lot, right outside the door. I pointed that out to the staff but was told that the vehicle was reserved by someone else. Not sure how that works, but I made this reservation months ago. I ended up getting a different vehicle that did not have the cargo space of the vehicle I had originally reserved. 4. When I picked up the vehicle, I was told I would have to put down a security deposit on the vehicle. That shocked me, as I was NEVER told that a deposit would be required. In all my years of renting vehicles, I have NEVER been required to do this. Further, the deposit was almost the same amount as the entire week's rental rate. That is completely unacceptable and is the reason why I will NEVER use SIXT again... for personal or corporate travel. 5. Sixt failed to do a thorough maintenance check on the vehicle before renting it out. If they had, they would have noted that the left rear tire was critically low on air. I discovered this AFTER I had picked up the vehicle and too late to return it. Nor could I afford the risk that a vehicle would not be available if I returned it. So... over the course of a week's rental, I had to up air in the tire each and every day. This was my first time with Sixt, and it will be my last.

Pros: Staff was rude and unhelpful. I reserved for pickup at 7am they did not open until 9am so I was waiting for 2 hours to pickup. Then my reservation was for a SUV for 6 people was told didn't qualify for that type of vehicle. Wasn't given any apology or solution for the situation. I prepaid for the car and had to get a refund which takes 5 to 7 business days. I had to spend more money to go to another rental agency and was late leaving for my trip.Cons: They could have came up with a solution for the inconvenience of my time and money.

Pros: Car ran well with good mileageCons: Pick-up was high pressure sales pitch on everything; insurance, gas, tolls, upgrade. Very Bad experience. Car was not cleaned well. Windows dirty body had many dirty spots. Line at pickup was horrendously long. Not enough staff and staff taking too long trying to up-sell even with a very long line.

Cons: I was notified after my designated pick up time that my rental was not available and there was nothing similar to replace it. My large group was left stranded and scrambling to make accommodations elsewhere. Our reservation was worthless and nearly ruined a family trip.

Cons: Awful experience attempting to extend rental. Calling mainline was waste of time, customer service was not helpful, sent me to in person reps. Thankfully an Avis rep in Monterey, California was fantastic and solved the problems. Budget will likely lose my service after this experience though.

Pros: I was dropped off in Dallas Loves field for pickup. Was upgraded from compact to a new Tacoma pickup. The Drop off in Little Rock was a little confusing due to covid -- there was a small sign at the booth on the return with instructions that took me a while but once figured out the staff was pleasant and my end bill ended up being less than quoted.Cons: A little more detail or larger sing at at the drop off for Thrifty at LIT Airport but very minor.

Pros: The cat itself was good. Dropping off was easy and painless.Cons: Picking up was horrible. There were about 10 of us or more who all had to wait outside in chaos as the workers told us to just find a car and hop in but each car was already assigned to someone else or when you walked up to a car a person was already in it. There was mass confusion and frustration. We waited a long time before we got a car. I've never seen a rental car process like this before and especially being a big Airport and rental car service, this was eye opening. I'm not looking forward to flying back into Love Field based on that.

Cons: When I rented the car, the agent at the counter did not offer me a TxTag to cover highway tolls. When I received a charge on my credit card a week later for tolls plus a $75 service fee, I was shocked. Really, a $75 service fee? Next time I rent a car I'll ask the agent at a different car rental agency about the TxTag. Thrifty has lost my business.

Pros: The manager was super nice. They ONLY accept credit cards for van rentals. Wasn't stated anywhere. So we had to go back home and get our credit card. Apparently, the guy at the counter assumed we wouldn't be back? So when we returned, we had to wait for a van to be cleaned. Then the van's front seat didn't move up so we had to wait again to get another van sanitized and cleaned. So the plus side of the rental - the manager knocked a little $$ off because I was waiting for about an hour and a half.Cons: The customer service behind the counter - the India guy was rude!!! OMG rude. And, of course, I got the same one when I returned the vehicle. I had to switch payment from my CC to my debit. He was rude about that. The rental agreement must've been packed because it wasn't in the van. Then he charged me for being late. The nice lady next to him said the time starts when they run the card, not even when you get the vehicle and leave. Mind you, I was waiting an hour and a half for the van to be ready for us. That needs to change. They knocked the hourly rate off, but the guy asked the lady why I was being stingy because we already had $50 knocked off the rental...Ummmm one had nothing to do with the other. So Payless at Dallas Love Field - Ya'll need to get rid of that guy. He's rude AF. Everyone else was nice but him. Also, don't start charging people when the card is ran...charge when they scan the paperwork when you exit. Because that is when the rental period should truly start!

Unexpected charge for toll tag ($13 a day) plus unexpected $100 refundable deposit mandatory. No other choices so I felt taken advantage of. Not a great experience.

I waited about 20 minutes, tried calling several times (no answer) so I finally had to take a Lyft for $12 to get there before they closed. I asked if their shuttle had stopped running and she told me no. Well, I never saw one... "Oh they say Love Connection on them." That is not the name of the company so how on earth would I ever know to get on that shuttle? They certainly never told me that.

Ok BUIT Could Have been BETTER or GREAT!!Pros: The Shuttle Van was the 15 seat we needed and Little extra space. Good on Fuel as well.Cons: The Insurance needed to cover the 15 Passenger Van was not enough to cover so i had to get additional Coverage$$$ Also there was a Safety issue with one of the seats did not have a belt buckle locking clip? Was missing so that had caused some discomfort to couple of passengers due to Sharp edges had caused some cuts and small lacerations on 3 passengers.

Bait and SwitchCons: My interaction felt like a bait and switch. I was told contradictory things by the person at the counter doing the contract, the person who checked car back in upon return, and manager of the lot/return process. It felt like a bait and switch, as my original cost estimate was doubled at the end. I called customer service the next day, and "contract was closed" and they could do nothing due to limitations of "they system". Classic excuses for bait and switch.

Pros: The car, once we got the correct one, was fine.Cons: Lady at the check out counter was border line RUDE. She acted like we were bothering her and tried to give us a compact car when we were paying for full size. We had to go back to the counter to get a full size car. The first friendly person we encountered was the lady that checked us in on return. I’m retired Airline of 30 plus years and have rented cars in all of those years and have NEVER encountered an “attitude” like the lady at checkout!

You get what you pay for / check fine print on unlimited mikesPros: Price was good for the rentalCons: Advantage drop off and pick up is like going to a fenced in used car dealership. Check fine print on contract even if you book on kayak - unlimited miles is not true because of the fine print. Felt like it was shady! Also pick up of the car was not good. Left tires on vehicle were low and I had to stop at a gas station and air up. Bad smell in car when I first got it.

Pros: Yes the staff was friendly. The off airport rental was not fun. We were dropped off at the rental place and they picked us up from the rental place. On our way back We had to uber from their facility.Cons: If we knew it was off airport then we wouldnt go with them.

Pros: We could never get ahold of the company to get our rental. We would like a refund. No where was it mentioned that the company was closed on Sunday and that there would be no way to get ahold of them.Cons: Letting the renters know when the company is closed and when it would days would be best to rent.

Cons: This rental company is off, off, off the DFW terminal property. Getting to their location was a complete mystery. The number to call for shuttle service did not work. I was never able to contact a live person, so I had to walk-up to the Budget counter at the real rental car center at DFW - and got the most amazing van on the spot for an incredible price. Don’t go off-brand, even if you need a van.

Pros: Staff friendly when I got there. Cons: Notify people insurance companies treat as commercial vehicle and most wont cover. Be prepared to pay the additional cost for insurance.

Pros: Drop off was easy - we needed to drop at 6PM, which is after hours, so were able to use a different lot close to the airport that had a shuttle service.Cons: Pickup instructions were inaccurate.The instructions said something to the effect of "call the rental company when you pick up your baggage". They should have been "Shuttle to the rental car center, then call for a 2nd shuttle to our location". Our group of 6 was not happy.

Consider other optionsCons: vehicle provided had over 80K miles; it was raining and wiper blades needed to be changed; they did not keep the windshield clear of rain and visibility was reduced; I felt this was a safety issue. long wait for customer service rep at the desk for both pickup and especially on the return. Long wait invoked wait time charges with waiting Uber driver who was standing by to pick me up. Shuttle pick up location is in a remote area on the east side of the DFW Airport. Area is not well light and well off the beaten path for most airport travelers. Not open 24/7 - limited drop off and pick up hours.
